Former Adema Frontman Working On Solo Effort
Former ADEMA frontman Marky Chavez is currently working on a solo album, tentatively due early next year via Thru The Roof Records. According to a posting on his MySpace page, the lineup for the project consists of the following musicians:
Marky Chavez - Vocals, Guitar, Bass
Joe Davis - Guitar, Drums
Adam Stahl - Guitar
Chavez — who is the half-brother of KORN's Jonathan Davis — left ADEMA in 2004 while the band was working on material for its third album. He was reportedly in talks about returning to the group after the departure of his replacement, Luke Caraccioli, but those plans have since been abandoned.
ADEMA's new album, "Kill the Headlights", was released on August 21 via Immortal Records. The CD was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Marshall Altman (MARC BROUSSARD, ZEBRAHEAD). Mastering duties were handled by Eddie Schreyer at Oasis Mastering in Burbank.
ADEMA last year announced the addition of vocalist Bobby Reeves of the Los Angeles-based band LEVEL to the group's ranks.

In other news, ORANGE GOBLIN has scheduled a special Christmas show on Saturday, December 8 at the Islington Carling Academy in London. Support at the gig will come from North Carolina sludge-meisters SOURVEIN and hard-rocking U.K. hopefuls JOSIAH.

New Venom Album To Be Released In Early 2008
UK black metal icons VENOM have decided to re-record some of the tracks for their new album and have changed the release date until early 2008. Drummer Antton explains: "During the Scandinavian Tour we played through some of the new tracks in the sound-checks, there's something about the energy you deliver when playing on a stage that differs greatly from recording in a studio. All fired up we tore the tracks to shreds. We tried to organize a mobile studio to get to the next shows, but it was way too late notice, so on our return to the UK Cronos (bass/vocals) hired some small venues for us to record some new backing tracks to work on. At the end of the day it's all about recording a great album, and this new album is sounding absolutely awesome. The band are also preparing some samples to stream from the website, as well as some choice recordings from the tour."
In other news, work has started on a special DVD release of Venom's classic videos. The Hammersmith show from 1984 (The 7th Date of Hell) and the Nightmare video to name a few, are set to feature along with new interviews from various members and 'never before seen' footage from the band members personal archives are also set to be included. Further information and updates are forthcoming.
