Meliah Rage Reveals New Album Details

Meliah Rage has announced the band's new studio album will be titled "Dead To The World," and the album is currently set for release on July 28th, 2011 through Metal on Metal Records. Two songs from the album, titled "Where Nothing Ever Grows" and "Up In Flames," are also available for streaming through the Metal on Metal website.

Cage Of Torment To Enter The Studio

Norway's Cage of Torment has checked in with the following brief message about entering the studio later this summer to record a new mini-album:

"Studio: Cage of torment is going into studio this August recording a 6 track mini record. Its gonna be fucking heavy!"

The new recording will be the follow-up to Cage of Torment's previously released three song demo 'Everything Ends In Flames." Details on the demo are available here, or you can also check out Cage of Torment's music by heading over to the band's official MySpace music profile.

Negura Bunget Comments On Upcoming Releases

Negura Bunget has issued the following update about working on a trio of projects dubbed the "Transylvanian Trilogy:"

"Negura Bunget is ready to announce the next major step that will shape the evolution of the band in the following years. After the Vîrstele pamîntului album, which got some amazing response from audience and media, we fell it is our purpose to take everything to an even higher level. With this in mind, our next project is a musical and visual trilogy centered around the Transilvanian lands. It is both our personal and band destiny to undertake this exploration and presentation of the things that inspired us since the very beginning. Everybody can rest assure, we are not here to perpetuate the typical stereotypes, but rather unveil the unknown treasures the Transilvanian lands are so rich in. Be prepared to discover a whole new dimension of what these lands are all about.

"Each part of the trilogy will evolve into fully developed musical and visual sides which we are developing together with our friend and visual artist Daniel Dorobantu and our friend and modern composer Dan Popescu.

Megadeth To Play SWU Music & Arts Festival

David Ellefson has issued the following announcement about Megadeth performing at the SWU Music and Arts Festival in Brazil:

"Megadeth is confirmed to play the SWU Music & Arts Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Monday, November 14, 2011. The full line-up for the festival is yet to be announced. Tickets go on sale Monday, July 11.

"SWU (Starts With You, or 'Começa com você,' in Portuguese) is originally a Brazilian sustainability movement, which organised the rock music festival SWU Music & Arts Festival. The festival had its first edition in October 2010. Check the Killing Road for tour details at the Megadeth website."

In other Megadeth news, it was announced last month that the band would be recording a custom soundtrack for the "Never Dead" video game. A trailer for the game and further details on the soundtrack are available here.

Staind Reveals New Album Details

American hard rockers Staind have revealed the track listing and release date for its upcoming new album. The album, which is a self-titled affair, will feature 10 all-new tracks from the band and is set for a September 13, 2011 release through Atlantic Records. The group recently teamed up with Metal Hammer magazine to debut its first single, "Eyes Wide Open." You can check out the song over at this location.

Rammstein Announces Early 2012 European Tour

German industrial metal icons Rammstein have announced that they will once again embark on a headlining tour of Europe in early 2012.
