Russian Circles Sets Release Date For New Album
Russian Circles' third album, "Geneva," will be released October 20, 2009 via Suicide Squeeze Records. According to Mike Sullivan, the band's guitarist, "this SKULLFUCKER commands the weak to rip their appendages off their SHITTY bodies and leave their worthless torsos to dry on the floor."
Every Time I Die Announces Release Date, Fall Tour
Every Time I Die's "New Junk Aesthetic" has been set for a September 15 release via Epitaph. The band will be hitting the road to support the new album during their upcoming fall "Epitaph Presents" tour.
"New Junk Aesthetic is not the next logical step in the progression of Every Time I Die," explains front-man Keith Buckley. "It is an evolutionary leap. It's as if we have morphed from a single-celled bacteria straight to the guy with the dirt bike that will let you watch his older sister suntan if you steal him a smoke from your parents. Certainly you may acknowledge similarities, but on a grand scale, they stand light years apart."
The album was produced by Steve Evetts again and also features guest vocals on one song from Matt Caughthran (The Bronx).
Guitarist Jordan Buckley has been the artistic force behind the Every Time I Die's graphics. The cover imagery of "New Junk Aesthetic" features a mythological god covering his eyes with see-through hands and each song is represented by its own unique artwork.
"Aside from contributing to the creation of the 13 greatest Every Time I Die songs ever written, New Junk Aesthetic will also contain almost 40 pages of my hand rendered illustrations, that, for the first time ever, offer visual insight into the genius lyrics that ETID fans have come to expect from my brother and bandmate Keith," explains guitarist Jordan Buckley. "With the band in complete control over what you hear, see and hold, New Junk Aesthetic will move culture into a place where the possession of a CD is an authentic experience so powerful that you won't even be able to cover your eyes; a feeling long overdue, but guaranteed to be worth the wait."
Every Time I Die will co-headline the "Epitaph Presents" tour along with labelmates Bring Me The Horizon beginning Sept 8 in support of "New Junk Aesthetic." Tickets are on sale now at Livenation.com.

Cannibal Corpse has issued the following statement about releasing a limited edition graphical novel during the Rockstar Mayhem Festival Tour:
"Death-metal icons CANNIBAL CORPSE are issuing a limited-edition 96 page comic book exclusively at the Hot Topic booth on this summer’s Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour. Drawn entirely by Vince Locke, who illustrated the acclaimed graphic novel ‘A History of Violence’ and each of the band’s album covers, the Evisceration Plague comic graphically depicts a story for every song on the band’s album of the same name—arranged in order, no less. As an added bonus, each copy comes with a copy of the album.......Vince Locke has done an incredible job turning our lyrics into blood-soaked and vicious illustrations for the Evisceration Plague comic book. He really has captured visually what we were trying convey lyrically. His artwork has brought our macabre songs to life in truly explicit fashion...fans of graphic horror will not be disappointed...Don’t forget to grab a copy at Mayhem this summer before they sell out!"
