Divine Heresy Announces New Vocalist

After much controversy and speculation, DIVINE HERESY has announced a dynamic new vocalist, Travis Neal (The Bereaved, Pushed), who will join them on their upcoming tour of Mexico, which will be followed by a string of U.S. dates. The group recently re-recorded the album's title track, "Bleed The Fifth" with Neal on vocals. Head over now to the band's MySpace to check it out. A video for the track is also currently being edited together for an early Sept. airdate, so keep an eye out.

Dino Cazares (guitars) further comments: "We are beyond stoked to have Travis on board with us and we immediately knew that he was the perfect guy for the job. He definitely has the range and stage presence to make him one of the genre's most lethal vocalists out there and the new material we are writing is going to smoke our debut. It's more brutal, faster and pissed off, so you better start preparing yourselves now. Until then, we went ahead and re-recorded "Bleed The Fifth" with Travis and it's just a little taste of what this guy is truly capable of so enjoy and we will see you soon."

Himsa's Last Show Approaching

New Early Graves Song Available For Download

Early Graves (formerly Apiary) has been hard at work on their U.S. tour with Oblige this past month and are gearing up for the release of their debut album "We: The Guillotine." The album drops August 19th on Ironclad Recordings in North America and will be available around the world on September 1st on iTunes, Amazon and other music download sites.

Watain Reveals 10 Year Anniversary Re-releases

To celebrate Watain's ten year anniversary, Season of Mist is now releasing the band's first two full length albums, "Casus Luciferi" and "Rabid Death's Curse" on digipack CD's, respectively on next October 13th and 27th.

Both albums have been remastered in Necromorbus Studio were they were originally recorded, and will also feature two rare bonus-tracks, one being the title-track from the bands debut 7" EP "The Essence of Black Purity" and the other an unreleased live-version of the VON anthem, "Watain." Both releases will also include extensive liner notes from the band along with additional photos and illustrations.

"WATAIN's first two albums have both been hailed as monumental and groundbreaking within the underground for their undeniably magical content and fanatic intensity, yet they are also considered collectors items which to this day are still hard to come by," leader Erik states. "As WATAIN never wanted their divine art to be something restricted for collectors and rich eBay kids only, we have now chosen to reveal to all of the world our dark and fiery past. A past that came to shape one of the most terrible abominations ever to stalk the Metal scene!"

Winterfylleth Completes Debut Album, Posts MP3

WINTERFYLLETH has completed the recording of their debut album "The Ghost Of Heritage."

Formed with the intention to honour England’s ancestral Anglo-Saxon past, Winterfylleth (comprised of members culled from the UK’s most devastating doom contingent ATAVIST and likeminded UK comrades WODENSTHRONE) have set a solidified mission statement to bring awareness of England’s historical roots through their folk-influenced vitriolic black metal.

Coining the term English Heritage Black Metal (EHBM), Winterfylleth (which translates into Winter Full Moon in the olde English language) represents the month of October (hence the coinciding release date) and also represents the Anglo-Saxon festival of the arrival of winter. With their "Rise Of The Winter Full Moon" demo, which was done in a very limited run but generated quite a reputable response, said demo displayed a fierce focused vision on what Winterfylleth wants to achieve through their music. And with their "Ghost Of Heritage" debut, this vision becomes even more solidified and fleshed out.

Another Black Day Unleashes Second Single

Following the success of their top-twenty, first single "Wicked Soul," ANOTHER BLACK DAY is storming radio with their second single from their self-titled debut album. Carrying the same moniker as the band and album, "Another Black Day" officially impacted radio earlier this week and marks a shift into heavier gears for the Florida based metal quartet. Lamb Of God Begins Recording New Album

LAMB OF GOD has commenced recording on the follow up to 2006’s Grammy-nominated "Sacrament." Their new album is scheduled for release in February 2009 and will be produced by Josh Wilbur. Josh Wilbur is well-known for his Grammy Award winning work with Steve Earl. The album will be recorded in New York City; Virginia Beach, VA; Richmond, VA; and New Hampshire.

The album will see a North American release on Epic Records with Roadrunner Records handling all NON North American releases.

Band drummer Chris Adler states, “We are excited change things up this time and work with Josh. We’ve never stayed in one place too long, and the evolution continues. There is an aggressive shift in the material and our approach. The bar has been raised.”

LAMB OF GOD shipped gold with their double DVD "Walk With Me In Hell" and after five weeks are rapidly approaching platinum status.

L.A. Guns New Frontman Marty Casey Injured On Tour

While performing Saturday night, August 9 at Goodfellas in Pottsville, PA, Marty Casey collided onstage with the head of Tracii Guns' guitar. Marty received a gash to the head and was taken for medical attention. After an hour and a half trip to the ER, Marty received 5 staples to the close the gash. Tracii accompanied Marty to the ER and sat waiting with him throughout the ordeal. There were also fans waiting at the hospital. Marty expressed his appreciation to Tracii and the fans for their concern. Marty sent his assurances that "the show will go on" and no dates will be missed. Prometheus Begins Recording New CD

Prometheus has posted the following message online via their official website:

"Prometheus are recording a new CD! Over the last year Elston has been investing in recording equipment and the new CD is being completely self-recorded. The drums have been recorded in the last month or so. This actually happened in Elstons house with the mixing desk and computer sitting on his dining room table with all the cables running through into his spare bedroom where the drumkit was. We have literally started from scratch with setting up a studio and even though we had to figure out everything as we went along we have got a killer sound.

Twisted Sister To Hit Broadway

Twisted Sister has revealed that they will bring the songs from the bands collection of christmas songs to Broadway this December. The play will be entitled, "A Twisted Christmas" after the album of the same name. No further details have been revealed but more are expected to follow.

In Flames Shoots New Video For "Alias"

Nuclear Blast has issued the following update:

"IN FLAMES have just finished recording the new video for the second single, 'Alias', which is taken from the new album A Sense Of Purpose, released in April 2008.
