Poison The Well Goes On Indefinite Hiatus
Miami, Florida's biggest metalcore act Poison the Well have announced via myspace that they, as a band, have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus.
The band commented by saying: "So, after twelve years of being a band, countless tours around the world and records being released, we have made the decision to take some time to explore other interests in our lives. We’ve all reached a point where we feel like we need to take a step back from the band and pursue other things. [Poison the Well] has been an all encompassing, full time thing for such a long period that this isn’t an easy thing to do. We want to thank everyone who has supported us in anyway, whether it be buying a record or a shirt, to the occasional robbery from time to time. Once again, thanks for everything and we couldn’t have done any of this without you."
A Day To Remember Posts New Music Video
A Day To Remember has premiered the video for the band's new single “Have Faith In Me” on MTV2. The video clip can be viewed below. Francesco Artusato Finishes Solo Album
All Shall Perish’s new guitarist Francesco Artusato has completed work on his new, all instrumental solo endeavor entitled "Chaos and The Primordial." Artusato has launched a new MySpace page to promote this solo release, which features several samples from the new album.
Artusato checks in with the following comments: "I just got back from my first tour with All Shall Perish playing four great shows as direct support for the legendary Danzig. It was such an amazing and mind blowing experience! We will be back on the road starting this weekend for the Summer Slaughter North American tour and will then head out to Europe after that. It’s going to be great.
"This is also an exciting moment for me because my first solo record Chaos and the Primordial is finally finished. It’s 10 tracks of all instrumental music that explore the rock/metal language in singular ways. I’m very proud of the final product. It sounds the way I envisioned it thanks to Ben Cohen, who mixed and mastered it at Sky Blue Studios. It took a lot of patience and attention due to the crazy amount of recorded guitar tracks (doubles, harmonies and different layers and textures). Some of the songs have more 25 guitar tracks each! This disc is the result of the experiences, studies, thoughts and musical moments that shaped my sound and vision throughout these years.
"The first sample is taken from the1st track titled ‘Chaos and the Primordial.’ Overall, it’s a very technical and intense song that has a progressive vibe with some very open and lyrical parts mixed with very powerful moments of intensity and complexity. More...
Raunchy Reveals New Album Artwork
Raunchy has revealed the album cover for the band's new album "A Discord Electric," which will be released through Lifeforce Records on September 20th in Denmark, October 8th in Germany/Austria/Switzerland, October 11th in the rest of Europe, and on October 12th in the U.S. The artwork can be viewed at the band's MySpace page. Vocalist Kasper Thomsen also commented on the album:
"This is by far the most experimental, the most challenging, and the most interesting album we have come up with since the beginning of the band. My personal take on this endeavor is quite simple actually: This album will be on the hot list when it comes out!
"Every member of the band has had the freedom to take things to the limits, above and beyond, and believe me, boundaries are transparent this time around, we’re going totally apeshit, and you’re definitely in for some big surprises with some cool guest performances by our friends in DUNÉ on the song 'Big Truth' among other exciting things."

"The end of the line... Dear Friends: we are so psyched to add a second show in Christchurch, New Zealand at CBS Canterbury Arena on September 21. Thanks again for demanding that we visit you there! Now to the real reason we're here taking up space on this site, we also want to announce that all of our play dates have now filled up with the addition of this show. That's right boys and girls, this will be the last date added to the World Magnetic Tour! So if you're waiting for us to come to the Polar Ice Caps, your undiscovered planet or even your basement, sorry, this is as good at it gets.
"It has been a very long, and most amazing run. The number of shows played depends on when you start counting. We are gonna go with what the boys in the band say, 'cuz they have been out on the road more or less continuously since May of 2008 and that brings us up to a total of 212 shows in 153 cities. Each and every one of them has been memorable and special and we thank you for that. This is where we could spew a bunch of crazy numbers at you...you know the 2.3 million tickets sold, 300 million miles traveled, 3,000 pounds of bacon consumed 'shtick,' but you don't care about that stuff and frankly neither do we. What we DO care about is letting you know the immense gratitude we feel for all of your love and support over these past two and half years. When we embarked on this "magnetic" journey, none of us ever, in our wildest dreams, imagined how truly incredible it would be and it's all because of hanging out with YOU! More...

Be'lakor Comments On Canceled European Shows
Australia's Be'lakor has issued the following comments about canceling several of their upcoming European shows:
"As many people have noticed over the past few days, we have unfortunately been dropped from the 'Assault of the Carnivores Tour 2010' in Baroeg, Holland - due to the apparent difficulties of organizing shows around August. This has been especially bad news for Be'lakor, as the Baroeg show was part of a series of up to 10 shows that were being organized through an agent of a prominent American death metal band for the remainder of our European tour.
"We are now faced with the extremely disappointing situation of having had nearly all of our tour pulled from beneath us (with the exception of Summer Breeze). None of this has been within our control and, given how close we are to August, has left us with the very difficult task of trying to find replacement shows.
"As we are sure that any fellow travellers will appreciate, the costs of travelling from Australia to Europe - especially for a small band like ours - are considerable. For this reason, it is essential to us that we make the most of this opportunity and play as many shows as possible. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with how things have worked out. More...

All Fall Dead Parts With Bassist
Finland's All Fall Dead has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with the band's bassist:
"Time to turn the page. Good and bad news, one of our founding members, close friend, our singer Juuso has decided to part his ways with AFD. The decision for this came from Juuso himself. The reason for this is simply the lack of interest on making metal or music at all. We respect his decision and wish Juuso good luck for the future. For the rest of us, it's time for a new chapter. Right now we're looking for a new bass player!"
