The Myopia Condition Shares New Single
Canada’s The Myopia Condition recently announced their debut album "Event Horizon" and now the second single "Fighting Fables" is out and ready for ears.
The single faces the all too common feeling of self-doubt and fighting the negative voices in your head that intend to drag you down. These negative thoughts are just fables, and this song is the anthem for confronting them and emerging victorious.
"Fighting Fables" was the first song the band started playing together and it’s chock full of raw intensity. The riffs in the song have a beautiful use of dissonance that captivate the minds of listeners and the drums are some of the most intense blast beat spots on the record. The band comments on the single:
"This song was the first song we ever wrote and played together, it made us realize that we had a great vibe together as a band immediately. Right off the hop, it starts out pretty fast and in your face, and continues to build into dissonant rage guitar-wise that reflects the message in the lyrics. Fables is a crowd favourite that showcases our great energy as a band, feeding off each other on stage and it quite often ends the set."
"Event Horizon" will be available on October 16th, 2020. More...

Glacier To Release New Album In October
Glacier will release their new album, The Passing Of Time, on October 30 via No Remorse Records. The album will be released on vinyl, CD and a limited edition box set.
It was in 1985 where the same-titled EP of Glacier was released, one of the greatest "mini releases" of the '80s, including five tracks of US heavy/power metal majesty. Few more recordings followed by various incarnations of Glacier until 1990, when the band was put to rest.
While the legend was growing, in 2016 there was formed a tribute band under the name Devil In Disguise (featuring Glacier singer, Michael Podrybau) and was offered a slot at the Keep It True Festival of 2017.
"Devil In Disguise was only to perform once at a festival in Chicago, IL as a tribute set", Glacier adding detail to the story. "We started learning/rehearsing the original material in late 2016 and, a few months later, came to find that the festival had been cancelled. With good fortune and help, we were offered a slot at the Keep It True festival for the following year and things continued to grow from there. It was sometime after our third live performance that the conversation began about using the official name. That would have been winter of 2017. We had already been in contact with other original members, who had been watching our progress and were noble enough to endorse us. By spring of 2018, we were booking dates officially as Glacier." Fuck The Facts Reveals New Album Details
It’s been half a decade since Fuck The Facts' last release, Juno-nominated "Desire Will Rot," but the band continues right where they left off, offering up another slab of their patented “bastardized” grindcore full of all the twists and turns that fans have come to expect.
Their new album, "Pleine Noirceur," set for release on November 20 via the band’s very own Noise Salvation label, is introduced with a video single for the release's title track, which can be viewed below.
Fuck The Facts has amassed a respectable discography over the years, and this new offering joins the 7 LPs and 6 EPs released to date. The considerable amount of time the band has been working together shows in the natural chemistry that courses through each of the 12 tracks.
Fuck The Facts comments on the album: "We took a long break before working on this album, I feel like it’s a collection of bits and pieces; old and new, short and long. It’s us working back into the groove, just in time for a pandemic. This album also could have easily been 3 EPs, you really have to listen to the whole thing in order to fully enjoy it. It opens the door for what is next." More...

Unearthing CONTRACULT Collective
Fans of catchy industrial metal have reason to rejoice with the introduction of CONTRACULT Collective. The Los Angeles-based duo, operating under the pseudonyms Culprit and Svart, had initially come together while they were members of Brooklyn’s hardcore/sludge metal hybrid White Widows Pact. That band’s 2015 album “True Will” concluded with a hidden song that foreshadowed the divergent path that led to CONTRACULT Collective. The unit has just released its debut EP, “A Cult of Opposition,” via their own imprint, Hogwasche Music, and the release is available via Bandcamp and all major streaming services. More...
