Premonitions Of War Seek Drummer
Premonitions Of War drummer Dustin Schoenhofer has now left the band as a result of "many personal and musical differences." The Ohio band is immediately looking for a replacement. They need someone able to tour for a good portion of the year. More specifically, they have an upcoming five-week tour with Walls Of Jericho et al set to begin on January 22nd. POW also eventually intends to tour Europe, and possibly Japan. Interested candidates should contact them here for more information.

Keep Of Kalessin Comments On Mayhem Singer
KEEP OF KALESSIN/SATYRICON guitarist Obsidian C. (a.k.a. Arnt "Sid" Grønbech) has commented on the recent announcement that KEEP OF KALESSIN's vocalist, Attila Chisar, has rejoined Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM as the full-time replacement for previous singer Maniac. Writing to the band's official web site, Obsidian said that he doesn't what effect this will have on KEEP OF KALESSIN yet, but that he understands that MAYHEM will be Attila's top priority.
"I have known this would happen for some time now and we're ready for whatever effect it will have on KEEP OF KALESSIN," Obsidian said.
"KEEP OF KALESSIN has 6-7 songs ready for the next album and alot of material that just needs rehearsing and arranging," he continued. "Since I will do a new U.S. tour with SATYRICON in December, we're aiming for a studio session with KALESSIN in March with release in early summer, depending on how busy I will be with SATYRICON in January and February. The entire line-up for the next album will be revealed at a later time."
KEEP OF KALESSIN recently parted ways with drummer Frost (a.k.a. Kjetil Haraldstad, SATYRICON) due to the long distance between him and Obsidian. Replacing him in the group's lineup is the band's old drummer Vyl.
KEEP OF KALESSIN's most recent mini-album, "Reclaim", was released last December through FaceFront Records. The group's first release since 1999's "Agnen: A Journey through the Dark" (Avantgarde), "Reclaim" has been described as a new milestone in Norwegian black metal by the Norwegian press.
Children Of Bodom Side Project To Release Album
According to a posting at Scythes-Of-Bodom.com, Kylahullut, the Finnish project featuring Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom), Vesku Jokinen (Klamydia) and Tonmi Lillman (ex-To/Die/For, Sinergy), have completed work on their full-length album, "Turpa Täynnä" (Hammered), tentatively due in January 2005.
The band, whose name is roughly translated to "Village Fools", spent a week in the studio recording 12 songs of what is being described as "straight-forward punk."
"On the first studio day, our drummer Tonmi Lillman arrived completely hammered for the seventh day in a row," stated Jokinen. "He had lost his bass, had no drum sticks, not even to mention the drums. But what he did have was a shitload of booze. Laiho and I knew that this would be an excellent session."

Darkflight Promo Online
Bulgarian doomsters Darkflight have released a promo of their latest material. 3 songs (22 min. - 320 kbps mp3) are available online. Listen to 'Over and Over Again', 'Sacrifice' and 'The Northern Campaign'.
The band is looking for a new label after Rage Of Achilles closed its doors, however some negotiations for the release of the second full length album 'The Northern Campaign' are in process
Torture Wheel / Moss Split CD Released
The split CD between the melancholic funeral doom band Torture Wheel, and extreme nihilist doomsters Moss, has been released by NOTHingness REcords. The CD comes in a slimline DVD case and is strictly limited to 200 copies.

Lord Gore 'Resickened' Artwork Revealed
Here is the artwork for the upcoming new "Resickened" CD from LORD GORE. The album has been completed and will go to press next week. Look for a late December release on Razorback Records.
