Candlemass Reunites, New Album Out Next Summer

After having disbanded just 6 months ago, Candlemass is back. Messiah, Leif, Jan, Lars and Mappe. The classic line-up refuse to die. The boys will enter the famous Stockholm Polar Studios Nov. 26, mix in January and bless us with an album in May sometime. Perfect for Candlemass 20 year anniversary.

According to what Leif said before, the band couldn’t agree on how to proceed after the reunion, so they decided it was best to put the beast of doom to sleep. It is always the best thing when five people want the same thing. And indeed, it looks like they’ve overcome the individual problems for a united effort to do something great.

"40 Least Metal Moments" To Premiere This Weekend

New York City heavy metal masters, Captain T and Ostronomy, will once again appear as "metal experts" on VH1's "40 Least Metal Moments", premiering Saturday, November 13 at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Having previously appeared on VH1's "100 Most Metal Moments," Captain T, a.k.a. Mark Strigl, John Ostronomy, and fellow expert Eric Bohnenstiel, will provide commentary on the 40 most "un-metal" moments in heavy metal history. From Pat Boone's album of heavy metal covers to KISS' successful attempt at disco, the "metal experts" will wax philosophical about some of their favorite heavy metal gods.

A rebroadcast of VH1's highly successful "100 Most Metal Moments" will precede the show from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. EST.

Captain T and Ostronomy will also appear on the upcoming W.A.S.P. tribute album, which will be released by Denmark's Valhalla Records, and the upcoming KISS tribute album, which will be released in the United States by Lunar Moth Entertainment.
