Every Time I Die To Miss Dates After Van Crash

Every Time I Die recently were cruising through scenic Wyoming, hit ice, and you know the story from there. They are all 100% okay, banged up, but good to go. Van, trailer, etc. - not so good. They'll miss the beginning of their run with Story Of The Year, catching back up with the tour January 10th. Here is a statement from the guys:

"I'm gonna have to agree with lambgoaters on this one. we really SHOULD have died. The first thing that went through my head when I realized our van was doing cartwheels off the I-80 was 'I bet Cliff Burton is going through Andy's head.' Then I was all 'Fuck! Jordan must have flinched right before hitting the launch ramp we built' then some glass broke, a shitload of poop fell out, the roof was at my feet, Durst (who was surfing on top of the van like styles in teen wolf) was thrown into a PERFECT 720 double backflip and totally stuck the landing, and my long island iced tea was spilt all over my 1/2 pound of alaskan king crab legs. We want to thank the Laramie, Wyoming police department for arriving at the speed of light maple syrup. Within the blink of an eye (for someone in a 45 minute coma) they (I mean HE) was on the scene- belittling, yelling, arguing and refusing to let us stay warm in his police car. We thank god for keeping us relatively injury free, since it wasn't until an hour and a half later that we arrived at the hospital to get x-rayed and have our urine sampled, which was fucking weird because nobody else had to donate a sample except me and the nurse stood behind me- yelling- the entire time AND she made me pee into an empty tissue box instead of a cup. Qt the end of the day, to anyone concerned, the band is fine. we are rejoining the Story Of The Year tour in a few days after our manditory 5 days rest for pulled muscles (the muscle andy pulled was actually done about 2 hours BEFORE the accident at an adult video store) and bruises and will be, obviously, heading out with Bleeding Through in February. We apologize to anyone in the midwest and western coast looking forward to seeing us, but you will have your chance again soon."

Glass Casket Replace Guitarist

Glass Casket have parted ways with guitarist Ian Tuten. According to the band, "This was not an easy decision for us to come to but it was more less in the best interests of both parties involved. Ian is an awesome dude and has been a part of this gig since day one. We're going to miss him bigtime and we wish him the best of luck with his future endevours." Tuten has subsequently been replaced by guitarist Jake Troth (Seneca, Desist). Meanwhile, the group has been writing material for their next Abacus Recordings release, which they expect to be available late this year.

Axis of Justice Launches 2006 With Noam Chomsky

The Axis of Justice Radio Network, the monthly radio program hosted by Tom Morello (Audioslave) and Serj Tankian (System of a Down), will launch its 2006 season with a very special show set to air Friday, January 13. Morello and Tankian will welcome Noam Chomsky, the famed scholar, political activist and libertarian socialist. The Axis of Justice Radio Network can be heard on KPFK in Los Angeles (90.7 FM) and in Santa Barbara (98.7 FM) at 7:00PM, online at www.kpfk.org, and on XM Satellite Radio on XM channel 53. The show will also be archived at axisofjustice.org.

The interview was conducted and taped in December and over the course of the one-hour program, Chomsky discusses subjects such as Iraq, propaganda, American activism, the international labor movement, and hope for the future. When Chomsky was asked "what gives you hope for the future", he
responded, "What gives me hope is people like you, and your listeners. In fact, the general population of the United States." He goes on to say how, despite right-wing politicians and a massive campaign to shift American values to the right, Americans maintain startlingly progressive, humane values.

AXIS OF JUSTICE is a non-profit organization formed by Morello and Tankian. Its purpose is to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together. AXIS OF JUSTICE aims to build a bridge between fans of music around the world and local political organizations to effectively organize around issues of peace, human rights, and economic justice.

Krisiun Talk About Upcoming DVD Release

Brazil’s KRISIUN have crafted not just a new album, AssassiNation, but a full-length DVD entitled Live Armageddon, as well, both slated for a Feb. 21st North American release. The band’s first DVD, Live Armageddon documents their decimating stage performance.

“It was the best concert footage we ever filmed,” says guitarist Moyses Kolesne about the recordings from Poland’s 2004 Metalmania, the first 45 minutes of the DVD. “The crew was really professional. When they filmed our performance, the stage was set up with only our backline, so the stage looked great. The set we recorded we’d aggressively been playing on the European tour with Morbid Angel, so the songs were really tight, and the crowd gave us a great response. We weren’t able to have a sound check before we played, but we still had no wimpy overdubs on the final product. It’s just us blasting through a really strong set.”

Live Armageddon also includes 12 songs filmed at a live show in KRISIUN’s hometown, Sao Paolo. It also contains three bootlegged songs from KRISIUN’s 2001 Wacken-Open-Air Festival appearance.

Moyses continues explaining why the band chose to use this footage, “A German friend of ours, Alex, shot this footage. It’s a little raw, but what you see is that we are having a great time, and that the crowd is just going nuts. There is this huge moshpit, and the sound is really strong.”

Wrapping up the DVD is footage from the Works Of Carnage recording sessions and the “Murderer” video clip.

KRISIUN will be touring North America with Morbid Angel and Behemoth on “The Monsters Of Chaos Tour.” You can get the complete concert listings here.

Gorgoroth Cleared In Polish Gig Controversy

In February 2004, GORGOROTH was at the center of controversy in Poland following a scandalous live performance in a TV studio in the city of Krakow.

The Norwegian black metal band were investigated for causing religious offense after a show that included dozens of sheep heads on stakes, a literal bloodbath, satanic symbols and naked, crucified women. You can check out photos and videos from the gig at this location.

The concert in Krakow was broadcast by state TV station TVP and the resulting scandal was the center of attention in Polish media. The band were investigated for causing religious offense, which is punishable by up to two years in prison. The Polish police also investigated a possible act of cruelty to animals.

Nearly two years after the incident, the district attorney's office in Krakow have decided to drop the investigation into whether GORGOROTH committed any criminal acts, the Norwegian newspaper VG reports in its Jan 4, 2006 edition. However, the producer of the TV show will be prosecuted and faces two years in prison.

The police investigation concluded that the members of GORGOROTH were unaware of the fact that under Polish law it is a criminal offence to offend people's religious beliefs.

One of the women who were crucified on a cross was so shocked that she passed out and was taken to a hospital.

"Tomasz K, the owner of the production company Metal Mind Promotion, who produced the show, was aware of the fact that the stage set contained satanic symbols that could offend Polish catholics — thus being against the law. The producer did not inform GORGOROTH that they were doing something that violates Polish laws,” the spokesperson Boguslawa Marcinkowska at the district attorney's office in Krakow told the news agency PAP.

Grindcore Pioneers Terrorizer Reunited

"This is a big step in the process for everyone involved with TERRORIZER and we are pleased to announce the great news," commented TERRORIZER guitarist Jesse Pintado (formerly of NAPALM DEATH).

The new TERRORIZER incarnation will consist of one half of its original lineup. Pintado will grind out the guitars and Pete Sandoval (MORBID ANGEL) will play some of the fastest drumming in recorded history. Introducing themselves to the TERRORIZER fold are guitarist Tony Norman (MORBID ANGEL, MONSTROSITY) and vocalist Tony Militia (RESISTANT CULTURE). Many people have asked why Oscar Garcia (NAUSEA) and David Vincent (MORBID ANGEL) are not returning. Simply put, Oscar is no longer interested in TERRORIZER and wants to focus on his own band NAUSEA.

Regarding what the fans can expect from the group's long-awaited new release, Pintado said, "It will be different but in the TERRORIZER vein." There are reportedly talks of introducing classical piano parts, industrial noise parts and chants on the new record. A 13-minute-plus song is in the works as well as some of the fastest drumming ever put to tape. Recording sessions are set to begin in January 2006. A late spring release is tentatively expected.

God Dethroned To Tour Europe In February

God Dethroned vocalist/guitarist Henri "TSK" Sattler has posted the following update on the band's official website:

"Hey Worms !

"Some new shows coming up this month. This time in Holland for a change. The first summer festival has been confirmed. It's the Kaltenbach Open Air festival in Austria. And hopefully some more festivals to come.

"Those of you who have missed us on The Tourturing Europe tour with The Haunted and God Forbid will (with a bit of luck) get another chance to see us live soon.

"In the second half of February we will do another European tour with fellow deathsters Natron from Italy. Not everything is totally confirmed yet, but it looks good. We'll keep you posted and just check out our tourdates section on a regular basis.

"Natron was supposed to tour with Deranged from Sweden, but they had to cancel. And since sitting at home doing nothing is never good we were willing to fill in the gap.

"Speaking about doing nothing. The writing of a new album is in the works. Some really cool stuff has been composed and we're planning on having it done in two months or so.
Right, enough said, now it's time for a beer !

"Cheers, TSK"

God Dethroned tour dates announced so far:

Jan. 13 Zuthpen, Holland - Van Oeverenhuis
Jan. 28 Hoogeveen, Holland - Het Podium
Jul. 15 Spital am Semmering, Austria - Kaltenbach Open Air
