Scott Weiland Discusses Solo Effort
Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland answered several questions from fans on his blog at Myspace on Saturday (December 30). Asked what people can expect from his solo album, Weiland responded, "In some ways it will be similiar in that it is not a typical Rock album. It's always more of an art project. It begins with an inspiration and I follow that path wherever it leads me, never worrying about singles, radio formats or MTV. It will definitely have the same 'All-over-the-map' feel. However, it will be a lot more focused, due to the fact that the album is a lot more alive and not struggling to climb from under the covers of a narcotic blanket."

Versus The Mirror Disbands
Arizona's Versus The Mirror has called it quits, so to speak. The group will apparently carry on under a new moniker. Line-up changes, if any, have to be disclosed. Here's a statement from the band:
"So here's the deal. After three years of going through many hellish moments, Versus the Mirror is no more. We decided it was time to move on and grow.
We wish we could thank each and every one of you in person who sung along at shows, drove an innumerable amount miles to come see us, hung out with us, ate with us, let us use their shower, rocked our gear, and bought our record but that is a bit impossible. I, personally, had an incredible time and wish it didn't have to come to an end like this. You guys are the reason why we did everything and you're certainly the reason we're going to continue to make music.
We miss you all and will be seeing you again soon. We are commencing writing for a new record under a new name which hasn't been decided yet. It's a new year and a perfect time to start again. I can't stress enough that we are not done making music - we are thrilled to begin writing and getting back out there to see everyone again. You will be hearing (from) us again shortly."
Interview
Interview With Mig Of Bordel
London, UK's BORDEL is one upcoming metal act that everyone worldwide is going to be hearing major noise from in 2007. They don't seem to be confined to one regimented, formulastic sound like so many other metal acts that are trying to define themselves today. Yet, they clearly pay respect to the great heavy music bands that have certainly helped shaped their at times punk'd up, gothic-metal approach. But they are mainly about one thing and one thing alone: coming up with memorable, rocking tunes that makes you want to press 'play' all over again once the song is done. And that's what you get with Bordel, along with a sense of true rocker spirit involved behind it. I got some Q&A in recently with their very engaging frontman, Mig. More...

Trivium Attacked with Urine-Filled Balloons
Blabbermouth have reported that at Trivium's recent show at Earl's Court, members of the audience subjected Matt Heafy and the band to an attack of words and urine filled balloons. According to the report Heafy reacted furiously to the crowd and explained that what they were doing was 'really wrong' and that if he saw anyone throwing things at the band they would be 'thrown the fuck out'
According to the site "The left hand side of the stage had been rowdy with fervent disapproval for TRIVIUM and their frontman from the beginning of their set, the band being lambasted with cries of 'death to false metal' between each of their songs and throughout the set there was a constant exchange of rude gestures between Heafy and the antagonists. An attempt to block the missiles with a U.S. flag was shouted down by British fans, who angrily turned on the American fans, a group of young men and women who had travelled all the way from the USA to see TRIVIUM perform.”
White Zombie Boxed Set In The Works
Rob Zombie is putting together a WHITE ZOMBIE box set containing "everything we ever recorded," according to the singer.
