Soilent Green Fire Guitarist

Soilent Green fired guitarist Ben Stout due to his perceived lack of commitment to the band. As a result, Soilent Green have pulled out of the upcoming Metallenium tour of America. However, they will be part of Morbid Angel's 'Holidays In Hell' trek, which starts in the US in November.

A Muddy X-Mas

According to Rob Zomie's Official Site, Mudvayne have been confirmed to join the Black X-Mas Tour. They are the third band confirmed for the tour, which already has an Ozzy / Zombie headline. A fourth band is to be announced shortly. The tour is to start on Halloween.

Kittie's Cd Moved

The release of Oracle, the second album from Kittie, has been moved from October 30 to November 13. No U.S. dates have been announced but the band will make in-store appearances in selected U.S. cities in October and tour the U.K. in February.

Coal Chamber Bring Dark Days

Coal Chamber have completed tracking their forthcoming new effort "Dark Days" and are set to begin mixing it this coming Monday, September 24th at NRG Studios in the Los Angeles, CA area. The albums producer Ross Hogarth (Motley Crue) will helm the mixes and the process is expected to be completed in around three weeks time. The album itself is currently set to see a release in February through Roadrunner/Island/Def Jam.

SOAD Appeal to Americans

System of a Down singer Serj Tankian appealed for Americans to "concentrate on positive energies" in a statement on the recent terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. on Tuesday:

"As American citizens, we are in the privileged position to be able to speak our hearts, even if other people disagree. I highly value the fact that I can make a statement with my intention being to sponsor peace and understanding of the tragic events that have been unfolding. I ask only that, for the long-term survival of our planet, we all concentrate on positive energies in our lives while pursuing justice..."
