Tygers Of Pan Tang Discuss Forthcoming Album
NWOBHM legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG have issued the following update:
"With your support and help, it has been a fabulous last five months for TYGERS OF PAN TANG, your reaction and support of the EP 'Back & Beyond' as well as the atmosphere you have created at the live shows have enabled the management team to really build the profile of the band. You have done so much without been asked it really is appreciated."
"There is a lot still to be concluded in 2007 which include a short tour of Italy in early April, then returning back to the UK for further shows."
"The forthcoming album, 'Animal Instinct', is almost complete and it's a cracker, quality hard rock with TYGERS riffs and hooks. There are some additional guitar parts to put down but we are definately on track for an April 2008 release date. At the moment it will again be an Internet-only release although we have had interest from record companies and distributors but negiotiation is still ongoing and far from complete. Mixing will be carried out again by Ben Matthews of THUNDER who did such a superb job on the EP." More...
Augury Begin Recording New Album
Canadian progressive death metallers AUGURY have entered the studio to begin recording their second album for a tentative spring 2008 release. The follow-up to 2004's "Concealed" will feature original drummer Etienne Gallo.
Commented the band: "We are currently in the studio to record the drum parts with Yannick St-Amand in his northern domain. Once the drums are done, we will head back to Montreal where the remaining instruments will be recorded with Christian Donaldson (CRYPTOPSY).
"Despite the unexpected hazards that plague most metal recordings, we are confident to achieve the recording by summertime, even before if fate's on our side. Yannick will do the final mixing and we expect the new album to be released by fall 2008.
"We also added a little Christmas gift on our MySpace page: Our new song 'Faith Puppeteers', from last year's promo, is now available for you listening enjoyment. Both this song and 'Skyless' will be re-recorded to be featured on our next album." More...

Therapy? Issue Christmas Update
Ireland's THERAPY? has issued the following update:
"Just one last missive of 2007 before we all get stuck into the orgy of turkey and tinsel that is Xmas. Looking back at the year, it has to be said to an outsider that it may have seemed a quiet year for Therapy? but our perception of 2007 is one of a very productive year. Release-wise we had the web gig and the BBC Sessions download/CD to keep the rock ticking over and we did some killer shows from to Toronto to Moscow with a few cool stops in-between (Indian Ocean anyone)."
"If we didn't play in your locale in 2007 it ain't cause we don't love ya but due to some reasons both intentional and practical. The intentional side of things was to keep out of a few areas we'd played a lot over the past five years, a way to give your ears and wallets a rest if you will (rest assured we'll be back as soon as the new album is done). The upshot of this was that we managed to get out to some places we'd neglected in the past and even dip our toes into some brand new territories." More...

We've posted another short video and a few pictures from us fooling around in the studio the past couple weeks."

Circus Diablo Frontman Checks In
CIRCUS DIABLO frontman Billy Morrison has posted this message on his official website:
"This is just a quickie to check in and wish everyone who has participated in this blog over the last year a HUGE HAPPY HOLIDAYS and a wonderful New Year. A few days ago, we had no plans and were sitting around in LA wondering what we should do for Christmas. Sometimes it's Scuba. This year it ended up being skiing!! We literally threw a bunch of stuff into some bags and headed up to Lake Arrowhead. The view from the room below was absolutely stunning and it just happens to be 25 miles from Big Bear, and some fun in the snow. Yesterday I went up Snow Summit and spent the afternoon skiing by myself. I actually did a couple of runs with the video camera, so trust me when I say I have a fun V-Blog coming soon!
It's one of the joys of living in SoCal - you can take a two hour drive into the snow, and then another hour drive and you are in 100 degree heat in the desert!! I am sure we will end up down there after Xmas - seems a shame not to hit our usual favorites...the spa and the steakhouse! Whatever happens, this year is a low key, low stress effort. Xmas day will be spent here in the hotel, and I can't think of a better way to avoid all the hassle and enjoy someone else's decorations/tree/red hat!!! Well, maybe at 70 feet beneath the ocean in a far away Polynesian ocean but that's another year.
Not the most glamorous hairstyle on the slopes, Mr. Morrison!! I have to admit that I am OG when it comes to snow - I have boarded a few times, but prefer skiing.... and it was nice to get some practice in before... Sundance Film Festival - is headed our way, and I will be found at the T-Mobile diner in Park City on Saturday, January 19, DJ'ing with Donovan. And other than that, I am DONE with thinking about work until after the New Year. It's been a fantastic '07 for me, with the whole CIRCUS DIABLO album release, a couple of nice enjoyable CAMP FREDDY outings, the emergence of the whole DJ thing for me (which I TOTALLY enjoy....not the best at it, but I love music, so who cares) and a couple of movies under my belt. I couldn't wish for more."

Wolverine Are In Writing Mode
Drummer Marcus Losbjer of the Swedish metallers WOLVERINE has issued the following update:
"A couple of weekends ago I went down to Stockholm to continue writing songs for the next album. Me, Per [Henriksson, keyboards] and Thomas [Jansson, bass] gathered in a small rehearsal room in Nacka. I must say it was a kind of new experience for us all, writing songs with only keys, bass and drums. In the end we came up with quite a few new interesting ideas and we feel that we're really getting closer completing the basic tracks for the album."
"Generally, the way the songwriting process goes at the moment, is me and Per recording and sending ideas to eachother at home. This way of songwriting is much more now that it was for the 'Still' album, and with Per, as a new member of the band, writing songs works very well. It sends a new fresh and different vibe to it all, I really think you'll notice that!" More...
