GUNS N' ROSES site NewGNR.com has issued the following from Ron Thal aka Bumblefoot:

"Heey!

"Just wanted to wish y'all Happy Holidays and say *THANK YOU* for everything."

"Last year during the US/Canada shows, I made a little tourblog. It's the Holidays, I'm in a sharing mood, here ya go."

"It may not be what ya wanted for Christmas (uh, ya think??) but it's still better than a dancing elf with your fucking face on it."

"Happy Holidays - love ya's, will always be grateful for your support. Can't wait to see ya's again..."

"Ron."

I've heard that the GNR album has been finalized. The problem is, now Axl needs to choose an album cover. I'll let you know the latest news again in 2010.

Godlike, now that's a GREAT idea!! :) Go ahead guys! Let's see what Axl says to that! When it comes to Sabbath and time/cost to record an album, I guess Axl just doesn't get that when you're a musician /artist, you'll never be 100% satisfied with your work and you'll never reach "a perfect" song / album whatever. And today with all the Pro Tools, Cubases and Logics around, you can tweak them forever. I think Billy Corgan said it the best some years ago (not a major pumpkins fan btw) "Pro Tools is just too much for me. Soon you're changing the tempo, the key, doubling the guitars, doubling drums, and 2weeks later you listen to it and go, I dont even like this track anymore". You got it right, Billy.
