Napalm Death Bassist Issues Thank-You Message
Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury has posted the following message at the band’s official website (www.enemyofthemusicbusiness.com):
“Hi there, well what can I say? Had a great tour all considering, met some great people and had some great times, special thanks goes out to Mothercare from Italy for making that part of the tour really great. Frank Duval and all his friends who we always see in Germany (shows wouldn't be the same without you mate), Susanna from Murcia for looking after us, Cristian and Mari from Barcelona and all at Peppe's Bar (for me and Mitch's birthday cake and that special present). Our crew - Dave, Bradley and Holger - definitely couldn't have done it without you, to the rest of the band (near and far) and obviously massive thanks to everyone who came out to support us. It means a lot...
Have a very Merry X-mas and a Happy New Year... Be well! Shane.”
Meanwhile, Shane recently took part in an interview with Germany's Voices From The Darkside. To view the interview go to: http://www.voicesfromthedarkside.de

Nikki Sixx Defends Motley Crue Glam Phase
Jason Ferguson of Orlando Weekly recently spoke with Motley Crue guitarist Nikki Sixx abou the band's first of three four-CD box sets, 'Music to Crash Your Car To, Volume 1'. Ferguson told Sixx that his "14-year-old self" crossed the band off his cool list in 1985, having determined they had turned into complete sellout pussies. "What do you do after 'Shout at the Devil?'" Sixx laughed. "Are you gonna start chopping up people on stage? We were like, 'Predictable.' So we go in the opposite direction with the lipstick and freak people out. The idea was to shake it up. We never wanted to be one of those bands where the first album looked, sounded and smelled like the fourth album. It was very important to embrace something, envelop it and then abandon it. Our interpretation of art was that we don't want you to know what you're gonna get every time. Although everyone would complain about us changing, soon after we did something, every other band was changing too. And the people that were following didn't have a clue as to what we were representing."
