The End Finish Recording 'Within Dividia'

THE END have finished recorded their forthcoming album 'Within Dividia' and completed a massive North American Tour with BETWEEN THE BURIED & ME and A LIFE ONCE LOST.

The finished track listing for 'Within Dividia' is "These Walls", "Fetesque", "The Sense of Reverence", "The Scent of Elegance", "Organelle (in she we lust)", "Dear Martyr", "Orthodox Unparalleled" and "Of Fist and Flame". 'Within Dividia' will be released in North American on January 13th, 2004 and in Europe on January 26th.

Unsane European Tour Dates

UNSANE have returned to tour Europe for the first time in four years. All dates will be supported by Harmful.

Century Media Signs Turisas

Finnish "pagan battle metal" act Turisas have signed a long-term deal with Century Media Records.
The band (named after an ancient Finnish war god) were originally formed in 1997 by Mathias Nygård (vocals) and Jussi Wickström (guitar). Over the years Tuomas Lehtonen (drums), Georg Laakso (guitar), Antti Ventola (keyboards) and Mikko Törmokoski (bass) were added to complete the current lineup.

Turisas are currently recording their as-yet-untitled debut album at Sound Suite Studio in Marseille, France with producer Terje Refsnes. An early 2004 release is expected. More...

Destro Records Signs Grotesqueuphoria

Destro Records have signed NY death metal act Grotesqueuphoria. Here's the press release:

Backstabbers Inc. Recruiting Two New Members

New Hampshire's Backstabbers Inc. are currently looking for both a new drummer and a new guitarist. Guitarist Brian Izzi has left the group while drummer Mike Justain will be playing his final shows with the group as he recently joined Unearth. The group is looking for members who can tour 7-8 months of the year. Interested parties should send an email here. Meanwhile, the band's new album "Kamikaze Missions" will be available in January 2004 and Jon Knudsen, formerly of Advocate, will be temporarily filling in for the band during subsequent shows.

Deathwitch Release Bumped Back

Deathwitch’s Wicked World/Earache debut, Violence, Blasphemy, Sodomy will now be released on February 10th, 2004, delayed from the original release date of January 19th.

Haemorrhage DVD Delayed

Morbid Records report that the release date for Haemorrhage’s new DVD, Visions From The Morgue, has been bumped to January 5th, 2004. The set was originally set for release on December 8th.

The disc offers three video clips, professional live recordings from the With Full Force Festival 2002 performance and live shows in Holland and the Czech Republic dating back to the years 1996 through 1999. A booklet containing new gore stories written by Luisma will also be included

Immortal Rites Ink Deal with Morbid Records

Germany’s Immortal Rites have signed with Morbid Records. The band’s debut, Art Of Devolution, was produced at Alex Krull´s (Atrocity) Mastersound Studio, and will be released in March, 2004.

Guest musicians on the release include Krull and Atrocity bandmate Martin Schmidt, as well as Liv Kristine (ex-Theatre of Tragedy, Leaves Eyes).

Decapitated Reportedly Off Cannibal Corpse Tour

Poland's Decapitated have reportedly dropped off the forthcoming North American tour featuring headliners Cannibal Corpse and special guests Hypocrisy and Vile. No reason was given for Decapitated's withdrawal from the trek. The tour — Cannibal Corpse's first in support of their upcoming "The Wretched Spawn" CD — will kick off on February 14 and will run through March 13.

Dark Angel to Begin Recording New Material

Reunited Los Angeles thrashers Dark Angel will enter Dreamcatcher Studios in Lake Balboa, California on Saturday (Dec. 13) to begin tracking some of their recently completed original material. In addition, plans exist for the group to lay down several cuts originally written in 1992 for their never-released "Atrocity Exhibition" CD with a view towards procuring a deal for a brand-new full-length album.

The entire project will be filmed for an upcoming DVD and enhanced CD, tentatively due next year.

Imperanon Hard At Work on New Album

Finland's Imperanon have completed all the drum and bass tracks for their debut album at Sonic Pump Studios with engineer Nino Laurenne and producer Titus Hjelm. Check out several pictures taken during the sessions: Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3.

The group, whose members range in age from 17 to 24, will continue work on the as-yet-untitled CD in January for a tentative May/June 2004 release through Nuclear Blast Records.

Mindgrinder Sign with Nocturnal Art Productions

Norwegian extreme metal band Mindgrinder, featuring ex-Source of Tide drummer/keyboardist Cosmocrator, have signed a deal with Nocturnal Art Productions. The group's debut album, "MindTech", was recorded in December 2002 at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio (Emperor, Zyklon, Windir) and is scheduled for release in April 2004.

"MindTech", which was originally slated for release through Sound Riot Records (a plan that was eventually abandoned due to the label's "financial problems"), features 10 tracks of "hard-hitting aggressive metal" and includes a video for the track "Fire & Equanimity" as well as "astonishing" artwork by Dragonweb Productions.

Three songs from the group's "Bless the Imbeciles" demo, which landed the band their deal with Sound Riot, are available for download via the group's official web site. Check them out: More...

Lacuna Coil Video Debuts On Headbanger's Ball

The brand-new LACUNA COIL video for "Heaven's a Lie" directed by Patric Ullaeus (DIMMU BORGIR, PASSENGER) will premier on MTV2 Headbangers Ball this Saturday, December 13.

CATTLE DECAPITATION's new video will also premiere, while DIMMU BORGIR and NEVERMORE come on as special guests.

Killswitch Engage Recoding New Album

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will start the recording of their next album this coming Saturday, December 13th. Bassist Mike D'Antonio relays the following on what to expect:

"KILLSWITCH ENGAGE begins recording on our 3rd LP (2nd for RR) on December 13th. We expect to record 12-14 songs with our pal and band mate Adam D. The yet untitled, new LP should be finished late January and mixed by Mr. Andy Sneap in jolly olde England come mid-February. Although we were rushing to have this baby out by April, with record preparation, advertising and all the other crap, it is looking more like a May release.

Sharon Osbourne's Message To Fans

The New York Post reports Sharon Osbourne visits her own show today, via videotape, to deliver a message to her fans regarding husband Ozzy Osbourne, who's recuperating in a London hospital after a horrific ATV crash on his estate. "Ozzy is doing really well," Sharon says. "He's still in the ICU, but he's doing really good - he's very stable... And I will be back really soon!"
