SLIPKNOT are hard at work in LA on their new album, which is said to include a xylophone and keyboards in a dark, heavy, mood. In a recent conversation with radio personality Lou Brutus, guitarist Jim Root explained that the band are getting along better than they ever have in the past, which is giving birth to even more creativity and more material.

i am sure this one will be crazier than the previous. thier bands are like a never ending vortex which just opens up to new realms. slipknot is one the most prolific bands off all times, the blend between the 9 members are absolutely horrifying. keep it up guys. maybe you could cut off the two perc. and put in another guy with a whole drum set just like joeys. that will really be unmatched.

I have no doubt that this CD's gonna kill. but i doo disagree with thta first post, they should definately keep the custom percussionists, they add a lil extra in on recordings and a LOT extra on stage. It would NOT be slipknot w/o chris and clown......but while were on that general topic......does anyone know what Craig does? i mean i hear a couple samples on the Disasterpieces dvd but not much.........am i just missing something? lol.
