Babymetal Announces European Arena Tour

A new revelation from The Fox God:

"In 2025, Babymetal will enter a new era. The Metalverse will expand and we will travel to a world we have never experienced, with new songs."

Following this communication from The Fox God, global metal sensation Babymetal announces their first-ever Arena Tour of Europe, set to kick off in May 2025. Having headlined arenas and stadiums in their native Japan multiple times, Babymetal have comfortably commanded huge shows for years. However, with the exception of a record breaking sold out show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley in 2016, the band has not previously had the opportunity to bring their awesome arena show to European audiences. Now, fans can look forward to a show that promises to redefine the Babymetal live music experience for audiences across the continent, as they take in some of Europe’s most prestigious rooms, culminating in the UK at London’s O2 Arena. Joining them on the trek will be Poppy and Bambie Thug.

Tickets and VIP packages on-sale to the general public on Friday, 25th October at the band's official website.

The Great Old Ones Announces New Album

Cast from deep within the mist of Bordeaux, France, The Great Old Ones weave the chilling tales of H.P. Lovecraft into otherworldly black metal. With four albums under their cloaks, the band are masters of the unknown, the unseen and the unconquerable.

"Unlike so many of their contemporaries in the current black metal scene, they morph the stale post-black aesthetic into something monumental and individualistic, a sound that re-imagines post-black metal through an uncommonly aggressive lens", Angry Metal Guy wrote about their last collection of cosmic tales.

Now, five years after "Cosmicism," The Great Old Ones are back with a new dark and mountainous album that blurs the line between fantastical wonder and horrifying dread. "Kadath" opens with its lead single, "Me, The Dreamer", a two-part epic that tosses and turns like an accursed bout of insomnia. You can check out a visualizer video for the song below.

"Me, The Dreamer" follows Lovecraft's strapping young hero and fictional stand-in Randolph Carter. Always one to keep his head in the clouds, Carter embarks on a mind quest through the treacherous Dreamlands. But, as the divine gods of old would have it, his night time journey is barred by unspeakable perils that push him closer to brink of sanity. More...

Warfield Signs With Napalm Records

German Teutonic thrash metal trio Warfield are ready to start a new chapter and walk right into battle with Napalm Records in alliance. With their decade-long dedication to their idols, Tom Angelripper, Jeff Hanneman and Dave Lombardo, the three know how to play tight with brutal shredding riffs and rapid speed beats. Today, Warfield is pleased to announce that they’ve signed a worldwide contract with the premier rock and metal label! In celebration of putting pen to paper, the band has shared a new music video for the song, "Tie The Rope," which you can check out below.

In early 2012, the band introduced their own thrash tornado to the scene. The speed and anger from German genre-heroes like Sodom and Kreator mesmerized the band from day one – and now it's time to pay tribute. In 2016 and 2017, Warfield played many shows alongside both recognized and rising bands at Taunus Metal Meeting, such as Iron Kobra, Warrant and Evil Invaders, as well as Metallergrillen with Tankard and Bay Area thrash legends Exodus. In 2018, the trio released their debut album, "Wrecking Command," with ten skull-crushing songs.

Warfield states about signing with Napalm Records:
"This is happening! We are more than proud to announce that Warfield has officially signed with Napalm Records. After over a decade of pouring our souls into this band, this is very special to us. We also want to take this opportunity to genuinely thank all the people who supported us along the way. We can't wait to let you all know what we have in store for you. Are you ready for this?"

Senior A&R Sebastian Münch says about Warfield:
"Warfield creates the same feelings you get when you listen to Kreator, Sodom or Destruction for the very first time! Warfield is lethal, authentic and surprisingly fresh! We are incredibly proud to join forces with Warfield from the metal stronghold Kaiserslautern!" More...

Jinjer To Release Fifth Album In February

Modern progressive metal leaders Jinjer have announced their powerful, long-awaited fifth studio album, "Duél," set to be released on 7th February, 2025 via Napalm Records. Technical grooves and heavy progressive passages, brutally clear vocals and skillful growls by matchless vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk have garnered the Ukrainian outfit millions of cross-platform streams and views worldwide, as well as revered renown with fans and critics alike. Jinjer have traversed glorious paths of tireless touring and extremely successful album releases, including their most recent chart-topping studio album, 2021’s Wallflowers. "Duél" showcases the band at the very top of their game and marks yet another matchless milestone in the world of modern metal.

After releasing their breathtaking single and video "Someone's Daughter," followed by the heavy-hitting single "Rogue" earlier this year, Jinjer now unleash another untamed beast with their new track "Kafka." Dominated by Tatiana’s remarkably clear vocals, 'Kafka' is a heavy and slow tamper, digging deep under one's skin just to break right through with venomous growls in the end. You can check out the video below.

Tatiana Shmayluk on "Kafka": "Being an artist is sometimes beautiful but most of the time it’s brutal… as our art is dissected word for word and ripped apart note by note, we‘re expected to be on point all-the-time … and when we aren’t, we are scandalised. A true artist is vulnerable but the crowd is most often plagued with vultures who pick at every single move you make. It’s a slippery slope when music means the world to us but how quickly praise turns into prosecution… We are all Kings and Queens for a day but most of the time it feels like a Kafka novel for a lifetime. It‘s exciting but surreal and absurd at the same time …" More...
