Internal Suffering

INTERNAL SUFFERING from Colombia have finished the recording and mastering of their new opus 'Chaotic matrix' for Displeased records. Expect some brutal blasting tornado death/grind in the vein of Devourment, Suffocation and early Pyrexia on February 17. You can listen to a track from the new album on MP3.com.

INTERNAL SUFFERING will support Cannibal Corpse on a mini tour through Colombia in late February.

Linkin Park Best Selling for 2001

While not considered to be metal by many, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory was the best-selling album of 2001, according to SoundScan -- which reports that 4.8 million copies of the CD flew off the shelves over the course of the year. I find it impressive that such a hard album could outsell all others in the first place! Other discs making the Top 10 list of best sellers include Staind's Break the Cycle (4.2 million) and Creed's Weathered (3.5 million).

Machine Head Postpone Tour

Machine Head have been forced to delay their US tour plans, because bassist Adam Duce has injurd his wrist. The band now intend to hit the road on January 20, supported by Darwin’s Waiting Room and 3rd Strike.

Ozzy's Savage Skies

Despite erroneous reports, it seems that iRock, the company who were developing the Ozzy Osbourne video game ‘Black Skies’ have not gone bankrupt. According to an official statement, the company says the ‘financial expense coupled with misconceptions about the game made the process of securing product publication difficult. IRock are now developing the game under its original titled of ‘Savage Skies’.
