New Reject Drummer
The Rejects, featuring Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison on guitar and Static-X star Tripp Eisen, have a new drummer in Katie Scabs. The band will release their debut album later this year.
NIN In Stores
Nine Inch Nails will make their first ever in-store appearance on Tuesday, January 22 in New York. It’ll happen at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square to promote the CD/DVD ‘And All That Could Have Been.’
Rage Against The Machine = Civil?
According to internet rumours and contrary to earlier reports that Rage Against The Machine would keep their name after the departure of lead man, Zack de la Rocha, the new band featuring former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell plus the remaining members of Rage Against The Machine will be calling themselves Civilian. But this is not confirmed as yet by any official source.
System of a Down Cancel New Zealand Show
System Of A Down were forced to stop their set at the Big Day Out Show in Auckland, New Zealand after a barrier collapsed. Last year a fan died in Sydney after a crush at the front of the stage.
New Lifeforce MP3s
Lifeforce Records has new MP3s from Cataract and The Year of Our Lord online. Both bands' new releases are expected on February 25.
Boiler in C Sharp and Tour Dates
Boiler recently completed the final mastering of their CD "Cow Tipping In C Sharp". The CD, produced by Alex Perialas (S.O.D., Testament, Bad Religion, Pro-Pain) and Jason Arnold for WFO Productions, is slated for release in April 2002. Fans can pre-order the CD at Boiler's official web-site.
The CD features 12 new songs, as well as "The Adventures of Earl & Cletus" and commentary by Totalrock.com's DJ Malcolm Dome (on tracks marked with *)
