van Wallenberg leaves Sinister

Sinister guitarist Bart van Wallenberg has decided to leave the Dutch death metal act for personal reasons.

The band's label, Hammerheart Records, reveals Sinister urgently need a guitarist to perform with them on their upcoming tour with Sweden's Dismember in support of Creative Killings

Every Time I Die seeking Low End

New York's Every Time I Die are reportedly looking for a new bassist following the depature of four-stringer Aaron Radyczak, who left to pursue Kid Gorgeous.

According to Lambgoat.com, guitarist Jordan Buckley was filling in for Radyczak and the band was performing as a quartet. Apparently, at a recent New York City show, the band openly announced they were looking for a bassist. Interested parties can contact the band by visiting their website at www.sonsofnero.com.

Sonata Arctica records live in Japan

Finnish power metallers Sonata Arctica are another band in the long line of metal acts to get a Japanese live record released.

Titled, Live In Japan 2001, the album currently is Japan-only and features tracks from both full-lengths Ecliptica and Silence and possibly new bonus material if all goes well with their upcoming recording jaunt at Tico Tico Studios. The album just finished the mixing phase at Finnvox Studios with Mikko Karmila. Sonata Arctica's Live In Japan 2001 lands on March 20 in Japan on Marquee Records. No mention was provided for the rest of the world.

Septic Flesh joins Hammerheart

Greece's Septic Flesh have signed over to Hammerheart Records after five albums on France's Holy Records.

"We are extremely proud to announce that we signed Greece metal-legends Septic Flesh to our roster," said a statement on the Hammerheart website, "The band will enter the Swedish Studio Fredman in May to record their first album for Hammerheart Records."
