Wolverine News
Swedish progressive metallers Wolverine have secured a North American licensing deal through California's The End Records. Described as a mix of Evergrey and Nevermore, Wolverine's newest album The Window Purpose will be the band's first stateside release. The record was first released on Holland's DVS Records.
In related news, Wolverine have welcomed bassist Thomas Jansson into the fold. The addition of Jansson will now allow vocalist Stefan Zell to concetrate solely on fronting the band.
Vehemence
Phoenix, Arizona's Vehemence are currently in contract negotiations with Metal Blade Records. Self-described as a "chaotic death metal band," Vehemence caught the eye of Metal Blade Records with their three-song, label-only promo. None of the songs on the promo will be on their upcoming full-length, God was Created, but one untitled track will be featured on Metal Blade's new artists sampler, Uncorrupted Steel. Vehemence's new full-length is scheduled to be recorded in January at The Salt Mine Studios in Mesa, Arizona. No word on a producer yet for said full-length. Look for Vehemence's God was Created sometime in spring 2002.
