Slipknot's Mobile Maggots
In an effort to control the quantity and quality of their music being offered by ringtone companies, Slipknot have launched the ‘mobile maggots’ campaign. This aims to give fans better content to download onto their phones, and will also offer exclusive competitions.

Bloodbath to record full length
Sweden's Bloodbath, featuring Katatonia's Jonas Renkse and Anders Nystrom, Opeth's Mikael Akerfeldt and ex-Edge Of Sanity's Dan Swano, are gearing up to record their debut full-length at Swano's Sanctuary Studios in February.

Nightwish in midst of fourth effort
Finnish operatic metallers Nightwish have started recording their fourth full-length album in their native homeland at Finnvox Studios (Amorphis, H.I.M.)
The band reportedly finished recording the drums for the album, but will continue recording in Kitee shortly thereafter. Nightwish is then scheduled to head back to Finnvox to lay down vocals and mix the effort.
Nightwish's as-yet-untitled fourth full-length is 11 tracks and an unspecified cover song. According to the band, the album will feature a theme running throughout the album but will not be classified as a concept album. Early reports of the material reveal that Nightwish will be using more "authentic" keyboard sounds.
