Society's Finest Goes To Pluto

Fresh on the heals of their announced separation with Solid State Records, Society's Finest announced today that they have signed with Pluto Records. According to the band, "We are very excited about this. The boys at Pluto have been our friends for a long time, and they are responsible for the 'Private Conflicts and Suicides' EP." The band also reports that they will be entering the studio during the next few months to record the new full-length, "Dead and Buried Outside of Reno", which should be available this Summer. Also look for the band on tour this Summer with labelmates, Evelynn.

No More Dedication

The Dedication have decided to call it quits. After two years, a recent record on Deathwish Inc., a 7", and a demo, it appears that professional conflicts within the band have led to a split. The band's founding members, Mike and Shawn, will continue on in a new band called Ghosts, and vocalist Rich Perusi will now join his other band, Stop And Think, full-time.

Horror Show Sign To Deathwish Inc

Philadelphia hardcore band, Horrow Show, has now inked a deal with Deathwish Inc. The band recently self-released a five song demo. Later this year, the band will be releasing a 7" EP, as well as an MCD which will consist of the 7" and the demo material. Both releases will be on Deathwish. The band will also begin playing out in March. Two debut shows are currently being planned, one in Philly, and the other in Boston.

Hatebreed DVD In The Works

As they prepare to unleash new album ‘Perseverance’ on April 1, hardcore heroes Hatebreed are also preparing a DVD. The band have been filming shows on their current Slayer tour, and will work on the footage later in the year.

Hetfield Tribute to Baloff

It is rumored that James Hetfield intends to record a special song in tribute to the late Paul Baloff, the Exodus frontman who died recently after a massive stroke. There are no more details at present, however.

Westworld's Act III

New York's Westworld, featuring TNT frontman Tony Harnell and Riot guitarist Mark Reale, have set Act III as the title of their forthcoming third full-length album, which is currently being recorded for a late spring release through Z Records.
