Witchmaster Ink Deal with Agonia

Witchmaster from Poland inked a deal with Agonia Records. Their sophomore album, titled "Masochistic Devil Worship" will be re-released this summer while their new studio album will see the light of day at the end of the year

Chaosbreed Launches Website

Finland’s Chaosbreed, the supergroup consisting of drummer Nalle Österman (ex-Gandalf), bassist Oppu Laine (ex-Amorphis, Mannhai), guitarist Marko Tarvonen (Moonsorrow), guitarist Esa Holopainen (Amorphis), and vocalist Taneli Jarva (ex-Sentenced, The Black League), have launched their official website at: www.chaosbreed.net. MP3 samples from their Unleashed Carnage demo can be found in the music section of the site.

Kataklysm Bangs the Ball

On Saturday, May 17th, Kataklysm became the first extreme act this year to air on MTV's Headbangers Ball. The group closed the program with their video clip for ‘In Shadows & Dust’.

Kataklysm are currently on tour with The Haunted and recently gave an incredible performance at the New England Metal & Hardcore festival. New drummer Martin Maurais is doing an excellent job and his drum solo at the festival got the underground scene buzzing.

In other Kataklysm news, frontman Maurizio Iacono's interviews with MTV's Ian Robinson for the Headbangers Ball special at the metal fest and also with crazy Julia at MuchMusic USA's Uranium show will air soon.

Immolation/Grave Tour to Kick off next week

Immolation are preparing to embark on a co-headlining US package tour with Grave along with support acts Goatwhore and December. The dates kick off on May 27th at Don Hill’s in New York, NY and wrap up on June 29th at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ.

Nasum Bassist Quits

Nasum bassist Jesper Liveröd is set to leave the group in the summer to concentrate on his other band, Burst.

As previously reported, NASUM's new CD, "Helvete" (Swedish for "Hell"), was recorded at Sweden's Soundlab Studios and features guest appearances from Shane Embury (Napalm Death) and Jörgen Sandström (Entombed, ex-Grave). The band will be issuing a split EP with Napalm Death soon, with Nasum covering the Napalm classic "Unchallenged Hate" and Napalm Death covering Nasum's "The Masked Face", from the band's now-classic 1998 release "Inhale / Exhale".

Nile, Kreator, Vader Tour Gets Named

The forthcoming North American tour featuring Nile, Kreator, Vader, Amon Amarth and Goatwhore has been dubbed "Art of Noise 2". The trek, which is scheduled to kick off in late September, will feature Nile in the headlining slot. More information will be made available soon

Mnemic Replace Bassist

Danish "hybrid metal" act Mnemic, featuring former Invocator session drummer Brian Rasmussen and ex-Mercenary guitarist Mircea G. Eftemie, have parted ways with bassist Mikkel Larsen and have replaced him with ex-Grope four-stringer Tomas "Oberst" Koefod.

Mnemic will release their debut album, "Mechanical Spin Phenomena", in Europe on July 28 through Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at AntFarm studio with producer Tue Madsen.
