Lo-Pro, who include members of Godsmack and Ultraspank, have now finished recording their debut album with producer Don Gilmore. As yet untitled, it will be released during the late Summer via Staind frontman Aaron Lewis’ label, with distribution through Geffen.
Former Pitchshifter vocalist JS Clayden has been asked to remix a song by Pigface. The track in question, ‘Insect/Suspect,' is on the band’s current album ‘Easy Listening’.
COLD will be performing live in support of their new album Year of the Spider, on Wednesday, May 14 10pm at The Roxy in West Hollywood.
As COLD’s first single “Stupid Girl” continues to build at radio, the band will debut the song on national television on Jimmy Kimmel Live May 15 at midnight in connection with the release of the new CD (Flip/Geffen), out May 13. “Stupid Girl” is exploding at radio--it’s currently #15 on Billboard’s Modern and Mainstream Rock charts--and the video is in rotation at MTV, MTV2 and MuchMusic USA. The clip was directed by Marc Webb (Puddle Of Mudd, Green Day, Good Charlotte) and "embodies the raw intensity of the band’s live performance."
Also, COLD will also be performing three acoustic songs for fans at Tower Records Sherman Oaks (15301 Ventura Blvd.) at 3:30pm that day. After the performance, the band will sign autographs. A limited-edition DVD will be available with CD purchase while supplies last.
Former Anthrax frontman Joey Belladonna is currently working on songs for a third album from his present band, Belladonna. As yet untitled, the singer is writing songs with playing partner Matt Zuber. Aside from vocals, Belladonna himself will also handle the drum parts.
Guns N’ Roses leader Axl Rose is being sued for $80,000 by photographer Robert John. The latter alleges Axl has gone back on an agreement to purchase hundreds of photos of the band, some of which date back to the mid-1980s.
