Morne Signs With Metal Blade Records
Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the signing of Boston, Massachusetts‘ Morne who are adding their brand of crusty and ethereal doom to the label‘s celebrated roster. The band is currently recording a new album with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Cave In, High On Fire) for release in late 2023.
"We are wrapping up the recording session at GodCity Studio with Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts. This will be our fifth studio album and we are very excited that a legendary label like Metal Blade is releasing it to the universe." comments Morne vocalist Milosz adding that "music and words for this album were written during stressful and challenging times and life changing moments and I hope people will find something for themselves in this album and enjoy it. I‘m very grateful that Metal Blade helped us put it all together."
Metal Blade GmbH Label Manager, Markus Grasseck, had this to say about the signing: "We‘re very excited to welcome Morne to our Metal Blade family. Being a fan of the band since their Demo 2008, it‘s a great honor to finally work together for the years to come. The band‘s unique blend of atmospheric Doom with Crust attitude is unparalleled and we can‘t wait to get this out to as many people as possible. Brace yourself for their new album due out this fall!"
Lovebites Shares "Stand And Deliver" Music Video
Lovebites, one of Japan's most important names in heavy metal, returns from hiatus with a new member, a new music video and a new album. "Judgement Day" is due for release 24th February 2023 via JPU Records and in anticipation, the band has released a new music video for the song, "Stand And Deliver (Shoot 'em Down.)" You can check out the video below.
"Judgement Day," the fittingly titled album will be the first to feature the band's new line-up, which now includes bassist Fami, who was selected after an audition process and is just 20 years of age. The fast, melodic and heavy metal sound that Lovebites has excelled at since their debut is still burning strong, but has been sublimated further.
Newcomer Fami also brings an added charm to the quintet, including her signature slap technique. The album contains ten completely new songs, mixed and mastered by Finnish masterminds Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila, who have worked on all of the band's studio albums. More...
Downfall Of Gaia Debuts New Single
Downfall Of Gaia today unleashes their latest single, "Existence Of Awe." The pummeling new psalm comes by way of the band‘s sixth studio album, "Silhouettes Of Disgust," scheduled to drop on March 17, 2023 via Metal Blade Records.
Progressing in part by looking backwards and returning to familiar territory, Downfall Of Gaia's "Silhouettes Of Disgust" delivers a dynamic and textured blend of crust punk and post-black metal doused in atmospheric elements, taking everything that ever made the band compelling and pushing it in new and gripping directions. The record includes the return of guitarist Peter Wolff, who left the band in 2015 to focus on family and other pursuits. They've also expanded their sonic palette with the addition of synths for the first time, and female vocals courtesy of Lulu Black, who collaborates with drummer Michael Kadnar in industrial/gothic project This Is Oblivion.
Wanting to keep things short, simple, and a bit more confrontational, the record does not feature the eight- to ten-minute epics of the band‘s more recent releases and is indeed punchier, with a lot of classic d-beat drumming driving the action, as on the surging "Unredeemable" and opener/latest single, "Existence Of Awe."
Elaborates vocalist/guitarist Dominik Goncalves dos Reis, " ’Existence Of Awe‘ is a song about those inner demons and ghostly companions that many in this day and age are at the mercy of and have to fight against in whatever form. A condition that one often carries around unnoticed on the outside, which is not immediately visible to many, and that one must somehow learn to live with…" More...
Ov Sulfur Posts "Befouler" Video Online
Blackened deathcore outfit Ov Sulfur have released the brand new single and music video for "Befouler," featuring Slaughter to Prevail's Alex Terrible. The track is taken from their upcoming debut album "The Burden Ov Faith," due 24th March via Century Media Records.
On the new single, vocalist Ricky Hoover comments:
"Breaking away from our constant blasphemy, 'Befouler' focuses on real-life heretics who say one thing to your face but believe another. They use this false front as a pathetic defence to slowly plot your demise. This type of life became foreign to me in my years away from the music industry, but it seems the more you're in the public eye, the more you face dissenters and weaklings. I've made so many great friends through the industry, but this one is a middle finger to those who are too cowardly to even spit in your face because they only open their mouth while hiding theirs."
Guitarist/vocalist Chase Wilson adds:
"This is easily our most energetic song. The technical riffing keeps you banging your head so hard you just might get lightheaded while singing along to the anthemic chorus - shout out to Ricky! By the time you get to the end, you've basically given yourself short-term memory loss and forgotten that Alex Terrible comes in to just bludgeon you to death on the final breakdown. For the video, we went with a tale of revenge that ties our early single and EP artworks to The Burden Ov Faith. Rather than go with the typical animated video, we wanted it to be almost like a moving painting or storybook, complete with hyper-stylised art from the super talented Anastasia Solti. We had our friend Dylan Gould add some extra effects to really make it pulse with the music, and we're very excited to have a unique visual for one of our collective favourite songs from the album!" Fear Factory Unveils New Vocalist
Industrial metal pioneers Fear Factory are excited to announce that they have selected Milo Silvestro to take the reigns as vocalist for the band's next era. A video introducing the singer can be seen below.
Guitarist Dino Cazares comments:
"It’s time to introduce the world to our new vocalist. The search was long and meticulous, but I know for sure we got the right guy.
"It is a big week for us in Fear Factory as we make our final preparations for our return to the live stage touring across the US, beginning February 25th on the 'Rise Of The Machine' tour. We can’t wait to get out on the road and start kicking some ass.
'The Machine Will Rise'."
Milo Silvestro states:
"This is a huge opportunity for me. I've been a fan of the band for many years and it feels very surreal but I’m excited to be part of it. I know I have some massive shoes to fill but I'm here to do it in the best way possible and give justice to the vocal legacy of this legendary band." More...

When Burning Witches come together, the world is ablaze! With just a sip of their bewitched brew of heavy metal, the quintet whisks the listener back to the heyday of the hottest and cruelest era in rock history. Inspired by the trademarks of classic 80s heavy metal - like skyscraper guitar solos, bludgeoning, raspy vocals and screams, and fast paced drums - Burning Witches unleash a searing attack once more with their fifth studio album and Napalm Records debut, "The Dark Tower," out May 5, 2023. Fasten your broom’s seatbelt for this wild and fiery ride!
Behold! The cauldron bubbles and churns, as the Burning Witches conjure up their spellbinding album, crowned by the title track "The Dark Tower." Prepare to be entranced as commanding guitar riffs seize your senses, but it's the potent vocals that truly captivate - especially the mesmerizing chorus that beckons you to join with the coven. Yet, this is but a mere glimpse into the magic that the witches have weaved. Many more freshly brewed incantations are primed and ready to be unleashed upon those brave enough to listen to "The Dark Tower!"
Burning Witches on their single "The Dark Tower":
"Wow that was quick, right? Album No5 is already done and we are back with the brand-new single ‘The Dark Tower’. The title track of the new record will fit perfectly into our set list with its relentless beat, the truly epic riffs and the striking but melodic vocals!
"The theme of Elizabeth Bathory and her infamous ‘blood countess’ reputation was a fantastic inspiration for a breathtaking video clip. We all could relate to the story and its creepy saga and knew from the beginning, it would be a new highlight in the WITCHES history!
"Last but not least, we want to thank the fans that supported us here and played the extras, in this very emotional and creepy little ride! Enjoy the clip!" More...
