Below is our complete Exhumed news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.

California's gore strategists from Exhumed are currently dispersing their disease throughout North America supporting co-headliners Napalm Death and Voivod. The invasion will have slaughtered nearly three-dozen municipalities upon its conclusion, with its final assault befalling Houston on February 28th.
Beginning with tomorrow's performance in Seattle through a Los Angeles date on February 22nd, bassist/vocalist Ross Sewage (Ghoul, Impaled), who played on the original "Gore Metal" release and redid his vocals for the recently-released re-recorded version "(Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015"), will join Exhumed onstage for an "old school" portion of the band's set.
Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, "I'm beyond psyched that our old friend Ross Sewage will be doing us the honor of joining us on the West Coast for a some really special sets where the pure old school vibe will be 100% raging. It's been a long time since we've shared the stage properly and I've been hoping something like this would happen for years. We look forward to grinding your faces off and literally partying like it's 1999!" More...
Today Vice Magazine offers up Exhumed's "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015" full-length in all its gruesome glory (also available below).
A genre-altering slab of venomous, jaw-jarring death-metal, "Gore Metal" was initially issued in 1998 and oozes audio repugnance with foul-themed, slasher-film-inspired verbiage and putrid cover art still abhorrently alluring nearly two decades since its unveiling.
Rather than let the opus decompose into dust however, Exhumed returned to the studio to revisit the underground classic, the results of which can be heard on "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015." Adding depth and a new level of devious urgency to the proceedings thanks in no small part to years of touring and a vastly improved-sounding recording quality, this new edition still maintains the grinding, bone raw aggression of the original recordings. Today, the rabble-rousers at Invisible Oranges are sullying the airwaves of the Internet with a refurbished rendition of "Necromaniac" by California's favorite gore strategists, Exhumed. Check out the track below.
The latest number comes by way the band's forthcoming "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015" full-length. "Gore Metal" was initially unleashed in 1998, but not content to let the album rot away, Exhumed returned to the studio to re-record the underground classic.
Proclaims guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey: "'Necromaniac' was a song that we felt best exemplified what we were going for on 'Gore Metal:' Possessed and Repulsion ripoff riffs, grunts, screams, whammy bar obnoxiousness, and a traditional song structure. Hence why we chose it for the album's leadoff track. We've played the song countless times live throughout the years and I don't hate it yet, which is a good sign! This version is a lot more listenable and coherent, which may or not be a good thing depending on your taste. Anyway, if all that sounds like your kind of thing, give this revamped version a listen!"
"Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015" will be unleashed via Relapse Records on February 10th, 2015 digitally, as a limited edition LP, and as a deluxe two-CD set which comes packaged with the original version of the album. More...
With the re-unveiling of Exhumed's now-iconic full-length, "Gore Metal: A Necrospective: 1998 - 2015," now just one month away, today you can decimate your ear holes with a renovated version of longtime live favorite, "Limb From Limb." Listen in below, thanks to a stream hosted by Revolvermag.com.
Expounds vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "So... for the second 'single' from our hubris-laden rerecording of Gore Metal, here's live staple 'Limb From Limb.'
"This one has been rerecorded pretty much exactly how we've played it live for years now; faster and a bit punchier than the original - not to mention infinitely more audible - and with the lovely chainsaw solo in the bridge. Now that's what I call musical development!
"Anyway, it's a great tune to piss off some neighbors with and will hopefully inspire you to find new and atrocious uses for your motorized home and garden appliances. Cheers, and enjoy!" More...
Originally released in 1998, Exhumed's debut full-length, "Gore Metal," was a boundary defying offering of filth-ridden, grinding, over-the-top death-metal.
Not content to let the album rot away, Exhumed returned to the studio almost two decades later to re-record the landmark offering. The resulting "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015," set for release this February via Relapse Records, maintains the maniacal ferocity of the original recordings while adding depth to the sonic devourment thanks in no small part to years of touring and a vastly improved-sounding recording quality.
Proclaims vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "I'm super pumped that we got the chance to re-record Gore Metal. I don't think any of us were happy with how it turned out the first time around, so getting another shot at it meant a lot to me personally. I was also really excited to have our old friend Ross Sewage reprise his vocals on the new version, ensuring that it still sounds like that era of EXHUMED, though things are a lot more audible this time around!"
The track listing is as follows:
2. Open The Abscess
3. Postmortem Procedures
4. Limb From Limb
6. Casket Crusher
7. Death Mask
8. In My Human Slaughter House
9. Sepulchral Slaughter
10. Vagitarian II
11. Blazing Corpse
12. Deadest Of The Dead More...
Death metal is notorious for its lyrics which focus on the brutal and at times sickening aspects of life. While many bands are wrongly accused of writing material which relies solely on this area, one band who revelled in such a subject was America’s own, Exhumed. Exhumed were formed in the state of California in 1990 by then fifteen year old, Matt Harvey. They were influenced by some of the more interesting death metal bands of the time such as Carcass and Terrorizer and set out to put their own unique stamp on the branch of extreme music which they loved so much, deciding ultimately that it would be gore they focused on.
They recorded a significant number of demos, split releases and EPs in the early career before eventually signing a record deal with Relapse, a label which had become known as the home of the American branch of grindcore, much like Earache was known as in the United Kingdom. They released their first full length album, "Gore Metal" in 1998, which featured an incredibly gruesome front cover and contained a cover of the Sodom song, "Sodomy and Lust" in addition to the twelve original compositions on offer. Although somewhat sloppy by Harvey’s admission, the record was received quite well by the death metal audience and they were soon hitting the road to promote the album. More...
After recruiting new member Matt "Slime" Ferri, California's death-laden horror hellions in Exhumed will take their sonic debauchery to the streets for a Fall run of U.S. live invasions alongside Carcass and Noisem.
Set to commence in San Diego tonight at Brick By Brick, the "Inked In Steel" tour will conquer nearly two dozen municipalities with additional audio infiltrations from death metal legends Obituary and Macabre on select dates.
From there Exhumed will return to Europe for further live devastation alongside Aborted, Origin and Miasmal. See confirmed shows below.
Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, "We've been sequestered in our grimy rehearsal room, taking time out of our busy schedules of soul-crushing day jobs and DUI classes to tighten up our set for our upcoming US and European runs, and we're getting seriously psyched for them! Our newest member, Matt 'Slime' Ferri is working out great on bass and vocals and we've got some killer new elements for our show that should make it an unsafe and insane way to spend your evening. See you in the Gore Zone, mutants!" More...
Exhumed has checked in with the following announcement about bringing on a new member for upcoming tour dates:
"A quick announcement before our Fall / Winter tour season gets started... We'd like to extend a very morbid and maggot-filled welcome to our new bassist / vocalist Matt 'Slime' Ferri, who will be meeting all of you mutants on the road shortly.
"Matt replaces our good friend Rob 'Bodybag' Babcock, who we wish all the best for in the future. We're sure you'll all make Matt feel welcome onstage (read: buy him beers) and all the guys in the band are psyched to bring you the latest and greatest version of Exhumed.
"Cheers from Harvey and the usual gang of idiots!"

Comments Exhumed's Matt Harvey: "We've been enjoying a rare few months of quiet in the Exumed camp, but we're finally emerging from the death metal equivalent of cryo-sleep to make some noise again. We're totally psyched to be back out amongst all you mutants and maniacs again for some beers, laughs and our usual brand of heavy metal mayhem. It'll be great to worm our way back into your little black hearts. We couldn't ask for a better tour package than with Carcass and Obituary, and our solo dates will allow us to unleash a full spectrum of stuff onstage - more songs, more production, more Marshall cabinets. It's gonna be a blast (beat). See you fuckers there! Bring beer!" More...

Iconic death metal outfit Origin will return to Europe for a 31 date tour throughout 15 countries in September and November. Side to side with Aborted, Exhumed and Miasmal, the U.S. metal giants will invade The Old Continent for the first time since 2012's crusade with Suffocation. The band commented:
"Some bands are just made to tour together! This November, Origin has the pleasure of going out with two bands that we have toured with in the past, Aborted and Exhumed. It's always a treat for any band to link up with old friends that they have shared the road with…as long as it was a good time! We have had great times on the road with both bands. Aborted, 2 years ago, and Exhumed wayyyyyy back 14 years ago! All on one bus, one big mess of psychopaths howling at the moon! If the bands are getting along and having a good time, then the shows for the friends and fans are going to be that much more ripping. This tour is going to positively melt faces. I've heard people say 'Hell, I'm over Europe' .....but not me, because this is HELL OVER EUROPE! With Exhumed and Aborted!"
