Frontman Matt Harvey comments: "We are extremely stoked to present this cinematic clip that brings you deep into the world of the Death Revenge storyline. Director Jeff Sisson really outdid himself capturing the vibe and violence of the record and the concept.

"This is the first video we've done that really fulfills the horror-movie vision we've always wanted to capture with our music. Spoiler Alert: It's a tale of grave-robbery, murder and madness. So sit back, turn off the lights, lock your doors, and get ready to undertake some 'Night Work' with us."

If you missed it, you can also watch the previously released video for "Lifeless" over here. Exhumed's new album "Death Revenge" is set for release on October 13th on CD, LP, deluxe LP with cassette, and digital formats via Relapse Records.

Exhumed Posts "Lifeless" Video

Gore metal maniacs Exhumed just shared an official music video for "Lifeless," taken off impending new full-length album "Death Revenge." Issues frontman Matt Harvey:

"Following sequentially through the album's track list, we are stoked to lay 'Lifeless' on you. 'Defenders Of The Grave' is the introduction for the tale of Death Revenge and 'Lifeless' sets the actual plot that continues for the rest of the record in motion. Fitting with the vibe of the storyline as a whole, the clip focuses more on story elements and vibe rather than close up shots of guitar-noodling. I think it sets the tone nicely. Cheers!"

New album "Death Revenge" is set for release this coming October 13th on CD, LP, deluxe LP with cassette, and digital formats via Relapse Records. The band also recently announced a short run of live dates in November with The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, Decrepit Birth and more as well as a performance at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest on November 5th in San Bernardino, California.

Exhumed Unveils New Album

Lock the mausoleum doors and chain up the cemetery gates, because the long-standing gore metal maniacs from Exhumed re-emerge with disgusting new album "Death Revenge."

The band's sixth full-length is a concept album: a musical melodrama in thirteen parts based on shocking true events. "Death Revenge" takes place in the late 1820s in Edinburgh, Scotland and tells the macabre tale of a series of brutal murders where the victims' cadavers were sold to anatomists, amid a grisly underground trade of grave-robbery.

Recorded with producer Jarrett Pritchard (Goatwhore, Eternal, Gruesome), "Death Revenge" takes the band's signature gore-drenched, death metal mayhem to theatrical and ghastly new depths. The cover illustration is by Orion Landau with interior illustrations by Lucas Ruggieri.

Frontman Matt Harvey comments: "We're very excited to see this record come out. It's been a long time since we've fucked up your stereos! I think this record has a darker vibe than the last two, with a pretty gnarly tale of grave-robbery, dissection, murder, and all sorts of general skullduggery. We dig it and we hope you filthy animals will too." More...

Exhumed Enters The Studio

California extreme metal crew Exhumed just entered the studio to record a sixth album and follow-up to 2013's "Necrocracy." The album will be entitled "Death Revenge" and will see a late 2017 release via Relapse Records.

Issues founding guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey: "We entered the studio April 1st with our buddy Jarrett Pritchard (Gruesome, Goatwhore) to start the process and no, this is not an elaborate April Fool's joke... 'All Guts, No Glory' was more of a straight-up speeding attack, 'Necrocracy' had a bit more focus on groove and incorporating some mid-paced stuff in there, and this one is gonna be a lot darker.

"It's a concept album, which is a first for us, so expect some new twists on our tried-and-true formula: one part late '80s death metal, half a cup of German/Canadian/Bay Area thrash, a dash of grindcore, crossover, and crust, and the occasional, well-concealed, Hall And Oates rip-off."

In related news, Exhumed has confirmed a string of European tour dates this June, which include a performance at Hellfest and follow their North American appearances at Modified Ghost Festival II in Vancouver and the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore in May. More...

Ross Sewage Re-Joining Exhumed For Tour Dates

California's gore strategists from Exhumed are currently dispersing their disease throughout North America supporting co-headliners Napalm Death and Voivod. The invasion will have slaughtered nearly three-dozen municipalities upon its conclusion, with its final assault befalling Houston on February 28th.

Beginning with tomorrow's performance in Seattle through a Los Angeles date on February 22nd, bassist/vocalist Ross Sewage (Ghoul, Impaled), who played on the original "Gore Metal" release and redid his vocals for the recently-released re-recorded version "(Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015"), will join Exhumed onstage for an "old school" portion of the band's set.

Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, "I'm beyond psyched that our old friend Ross Sewage will be doing us the honor of joining us on the West Coast for a some really special sets where the pure old school vibe will be 100% raging. It's been a long time since we've shared the stage properly and I've been hoping something like this would happen for years. We look forward to grinding your faces off and literally partying like it's 1999!" More...

Exhumed Streaming Full Album

Today Vice Magazine offers up Exhumed's "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015" full-length in all its gruesome glory (also available below).

A genre-altering slab of venomous, jaw-jarring death-metal, "Gore Metal" was initially issued in 1998 and oozes audio repugnance with foul-themed, slasher-film-inspired verbiage and putrid cover art still abhorrently alluring nearly two decades since its unveiling.

Rather than let the opus decompose into dust however, Exhumed returned to the studio to revisit the underground classic, the results of which can be heard on "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015." Adding depth and a new level of devious urgency to the proceedings thanks in no small part to years of touring and a vastly improved-sounding recording quality, this new edition still maintains the grinding, bone raw aggression of the original recordings. Exhumed Streaming "Necromaniac"

Today, the rabble-rousers at Invisible Oranges are sullying the airwaves of the Internet with a refurbished rendition of "Necromaniac" by California's favorite gore strategists, Exhumed. Check out the track below.

The latest number comes by way the band's forthcoming "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015" full-length. "Gore Metal" was initially unleashed in 1998, but not content to let the album rot away, Exhumed returned to the studio to re-record the underground classic.

Proclaims guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey: "'Necromaniac' was a song that we felt best exemplified what we were going for on 'Gore Metal:' Possessed and Repulsion ripoff riffs, grunts, screams, whammy bar obnoxiousness, and a traditional song structure. Hence why we chose it for the album's leadoff track. We've played the song countless times live throughout the years and I don't hate it yet, which is a good sign! This version is a lot more listenable and coherent, which may or not be a good thing depending on your taste. Anyway, if all that sounds like your kind of thing, give this revamped version a listen!"

"Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015" will be unleashed via Relapse Records on February 10th, 2015 digitally, as a limited edition LP, and as a deluxe two-CD set which comes packaged with the original version of the album. More...

Exhumed Streaming "Limb From Limb"

With the re-unveiling of Exhumed's now-iconic full-length, "Gore Metal: A Necrospective: 1998 - 2015," now just one month away, today you can decimate your ear holes with a renovated version of longtime live favorite, "Limb From Limb." Listen in below, thanks to a stream hosted by Revolvermag.com.

Expounds vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "So... for the second 'single' from our hubris-laden rerecording of Gore Metal, here's live staple 'Limb From Limb.'

"This one has been rerecorded pretty much exactly how we've played it live for years now; faster and a bit punchier than the original - not to mention infinitely more audible - and with the lovely chainsaw solo in the bridge. Now that's what I call musical development!

"Anyway, it's a great tune to piss off some neighbors with and will hopefully inspire you to find new and atrocious uses for your motorized home and garden appliances. Cheers, and enjoy!" More...

Exhumed Re-Records "Gore Metal"

Originally released in 1998, Exhumed's debut full-length, "Gore Metal," was a boundary defying offering of filth-ridden, grinding, over-the-top death-metal.

Not content to let the album rot away, Exhumed returned to the studio almost two decades later to re-record the landmark offering. The resulting "Gore Metal: A Necrospective 1998 - 2015," set for release this February via Relapse Records, maintains the maniacal ferocity of the original recordings while adding depth to the sonic devourment thanks in no small part to years of touring and a vastly improved-sounding recording quality.

Proclaims vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: "I'm super pumped that we got the chance to re-record Gore Metal. I don't think any of us were happy with how it turned out the first time around, so getting another shot at it meant a lot to me personally. I was also really excited to have our old friend Ross Sewage reprise his vocals on the new version, ensuring that it still sounds like that era of EXHUMED, though things are a lot more audible this time around!"

The track listing is as follows:

1. Necromaniac
2. Open The Abscess
3. Postmortem Procedures
4. Limb From Limb
5. Enucleation
6. Casket Crusher
7. Death Mask
8. In My Human Slaughter House
9. Sepulchral Slaughter

Sunday Old School: Exhumed

Death metal is notorious for its lyrics which focus on the brutal and at times sickening aspects of life. While many bands are wrongly accused of writing material which relies solely on this area, one band who revelled in such a subject was America’s own, Exhumed. Exhumed were formed in the state of California in 1990 by then fifteen year old, Matt Harvey. They were influenced by some of the more interesting death metal bands of the time such as Carcass and Terrorizer and set out to put their own unique stamp on the branch of extreme music which they loved so much, deciding ultimately that it would be gore they focused on.

They recorded a significant number of demos, split releases and EPs in the early career before eventually signing a record deal with Relapse, a label which had become known as the home of the American branch of grindcore, much like Earache was known as in the United Kingdom. They released their first full length album, "Gore Metal" in 1998, which featured an incredibly gruesome front cover and contained a cover of the Sodom song, "Sodomy and Lust" in addition to the twelve original compositions on offer. Although somewhat sloppy by Harvey’s admission, the record was received quite well by the death metal audience and they were soon hitting the road to promote the album. More...

Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, "We've been sequestered in our grimy rehearsal room, taking time out of our busy schedules of soul-crushing day jobs and DUI classes to tighten up our set for our upcoming US and European runs, and we're getting seriously psyched for them! Our newest member, Matt 'Slime' Ferri is working out great on bass and vocals and we've got some killer new elements for our show that should make it an unsafe and insane way to spend your evening. Exhumed Announces New Live Invasion

The West Coast gore hounds in Exhumed will take to the streets this Fall on another rash of live incursions with extreme metal technicians Carcass and manic death thrashers Noisem.

From there the band will march overseas for more onstage devastation with Aborted, Origin, and Miasmal. See confirmed shows below.

We're totally psyched to be back out amongst all you mutants and maniacs again for some beers, laughs and our usual brand of heavy metal mayhem. It'll be great to worm our way back into your little black hearts.
