Kruger To Tour The UK
Swiss sludgy metal monsters KRUGER are assaulting the UK again with THE MIRIMAR DISASTER in October, their first time was with BOSSK . KRUGER is currently working on new songs in the prospect of recording their follow up to "Redemption Through Looseness" and second album for Listenable Records.
The band recently played the ROADBURN , BRUTAL ASSAULT and DOUR festival.

Dauntless Signs To Full Metal Records
Full Metal Records and Finnish death/thrash metal band Dauntless inked a record deal. Formed in 1991, Dauntless is already considered as respected veterans in the Finnish death metal scene. Dauntless is known as raging live act and their debut album, "Execute the Fact," (Firebox Records 2007) was highly acclaimed by the media and metal fans. The deal with Full Metal Records includes their next two full length albums. The First one is coming up in early Spring 2009.

Burst Posts New Song, In-Studio Footage
BURST has posted a third preview track from their forthcoming album Lazarus Bird. The new track, “I Exterminate The I,” can be heard now via the band’s MySpace page, along with “Cripple God” and “(We Watched) The Silver Rain” also taken from the album.
Additionally, BURST has posted the first in-studio web-episode shot during the Lazarus Bird recording session online on YouTube. BURST recorded the full-length at Studio Bohussound (STATUS QUO, ABBA) in Kungalv, Sweden with engineer Fredrik Reinedahl (OPETH, IN FLAMES, GADGET). "Lazarus Bird" will see a September 16th North American release date, September 22nd internationally.
BURST will head to Russia and the Ukraine this weekend for a string of shows. A listing of tour dates and cities can be found below with many more to be announced soon.

Darkane Reveals "Demonic Art" Cover
The fifth Darkane album, entitled "Demonic Art," will be released via Massacre Records (licensed by Nuclear Blast) in Europe October 24th. If you haven't seen the last video blog from the recording, you can check it now. The video also features a sample of a new song.

Corey Taylor Weighs In On Illegal Downloading
Kerrang reports: Following the arrest of Kevin Cogill - the man accused of leaking Guns N' Roses' Chinese democracy album online - earlier this week, illegal downloading is once again in the spotlight.
Not that he's one to rant about anything under the sun you understand, but Corey Taylor isn't called The Great Big Mouth for nothing. And, according to the Slipknot frontman, record companies only have themselves to blame for the rise in illegal downloading because "most of the bands they sign are shit."
"Why would you blame [people who download music]?," Taylor said to Kerrang! "Half the fucking albums that are out there are shit. I don't download, but at the same time, I don't buy new music 'cause it all sucks. Okay, there's a handful of bands that I buy, but other than that, I just buy old shit because old shit is good. Sorry!
"People wanna blame the decline of album sales on downloading, I think it's actually the record companies' fault," he added. "I think it's the quality of the product. If record companies would stop giving any fucking mook on the street with a fringe a record deal or their own record label, maybe you would sell more fucking albums, dipshits."
Firewind's "Head Up High" Video Posted Online
Firewind have just premiered their brand-new video clip “Head Up High” at YouTube. The song comes off the band’s critically acclaimed new album “The Premonition.”
Firewind are just about to kick off their UK headlining tour in this very month and then follow it up with an extensive European headlining tour in November.
The newest and final addition to the European tour, is Vicious Rumours who will be the special guests on the Spanish dates.

Crucified Barbara Announces New Single, Tour Dates
The first single from the upcoming CRUCIFIED BARBARA has been announced as "Sex Action." Their full-length eleven-track album, "Til Death Do Us Party" is scheduled for release November 19, 2008. The album is produced by Mats Levén.

Twinspirits Announces New Singer and New Album
Italy's Twinspirits have issued the following update regarding their new album:
"After a fruitful collaboration started in 2006 and the release of the first full-lenght album 'The Music That Will Heal The World' (Lion Music), Twinspirits part ways with the Danish singer Søren Adamsen. The band recruited the great Swedish talent of Göran Nyström to complete the new lineup."
"The recording sessions for Twinspirits new album are currently in progress and the record will be probably released in the first semester of 2009."
"The band already played a couple of gigs during summer festivals in Italy, with the new lineup. Some video footage about it can be viewed on YouTube."
Avulsed Reveals New Album Details
Spanish metallers, AVULSED, have issused the following update:
"After having participated in the killer 2nd Death Fast Open Air in Germany and headlined the 8th Metal Mania Open Air in Slovenia together with Exodus & Impaled Nazarene, AVULSED is ready for one more festival (as headliners as well) to close the summer festivals. Soilwork Announces North American Tour
Sweden’s melodic death/thrash champions, SOILWORK, will return to North American shores once more starting in late January. Iced Earth Moves L.A. Show To A Bigger Venue
Due to overwhelming demand, legendary power metallers Iced Earth has moved the venue of their Los Angeles show to a bigger venue. The concert will take place on October 24th at The Wiltern Theatre as opposed to the previously announced venue of The Avalon. This means there will be more VIP tickets available for the show.
Guitarist Jon Schaffer says: "It's awesome that the Minions are gathering in force to see the band this fall on the North American Crucible, and I can't wait to see you all on tour!"

Greek black metal band ZEMIAL has signed an exclusive agreement with Metalhit.com to make their music available to digital download stores worldwide, including iTunes, eMusic, Amazon Mp3, Rhapsody, Napster and others.
Band leader, Vorskaath, states: "In keeping with the times, we are in the process of making the entire Zemial catalogue (including vinyl only releases) available digitally for those who prefer digital downloads."
Deathriders Posts New Song Online
DEATHRIDERS has posted a second new song, "Riders Of The Apocalypse," available for streaming on MySpace.
DEATHRIDERS new album "Back With A Vengeance" is currently being recorded and mixed by Ken Orth at Alpine Sound in Mesa, Arizona. "Riders Of The Apocalypse," which is a rough mix, is a new song from DEATHRIDERS forthcoming album "Back With A Vengeance." All Words and Music by Neil Turbin. Airbourne Pulls Out Of Motorhead Tour
Aussie rockers Airbourne has posted the following message online:
"After 200+ shows this year, Joel's suffering from strained vocal chords and is being forced under doctor's orders to cancel the current USA dates with MOTÖRHEAD. All that is needed is a couple of weeks rest and then the band will be back on the road in Japan this October, and then taking on a UK / Europe tour for the third time in ten months. The band is gutted that they can not play these shows with Motorhead & hope to see you all at a show soon."

sBACH Announces Tour Dates w/ Pinback
Talk about taking a departure. Spencer Seim, the man who serves as the axe shredder of Hella and the skins man of The Advantage, dropped his new album back in August under the pseudonym of sBACH on Suicide Squeeze.
