Wolf Wishing on an Evil Star
Wolf have issued an update. “Watch out guys and girls, here’s some Wolf news for you, finally. The new album is finished at last. Why has it taken so fucking long you might ask? Well, to make a long story short, it’s been rough times for the Wolf label. A lot of energy and focus that should have been on heavy metal had to be put into boring shit like finances and management issues. But all that’s sorted out now, and things are looking wicked good.
So, to the main course then. Once again the band recorded with Peter Tagtgren in the Abyss studio. The production is obviously excellent, in fact, it sounds better than ever before. The album contains 10 tracks and presents a new side to Wolf: the Eastern Europe á la -81 side. The boys have been way down in the Polish coal mines, digging for devil tunes. Now they offer us a dish so soaked with concrete dust you just have to have six-pack of lager to go with it.
The album is entitled Evil Star and will be released in Scandinavia through MNW/No Fashion on the 24th of February, 2004. More...
