In order to let people drown in their own suffering, Insanity Reigns Supreme have put an MP3 of their soon to be released album 'Prophecy of Doom' online. Cryptopsy Management: Band Split with Singer
One of my favorite bands, those Canadian death metallers, Cryptopsy have officially parted ways with their new singer, Martin Lacroix. Martin was only a part of one peice with Cryptopsy, that being their live album, "None So Live". This word was officially given by Cryptopsy's PR guy, but no other information was given on the departure. The guys had been writing material, hoping for an early 2004 release, but this could hold them off indefinately.
The group will now try to find their fourth vocalist in six albums. Bring back Lord Worm!

Morifade Album Delayed Again
Morifade have issued the following message regarding the release of their forthcoming album, Domi<>Nation, which was previously scheduled for release on November 3rd through Karmageddon Media:
“Here we go again... The new album, Domi<>Nation is (as some of you might know) postponed to January, 2004 due to a couple of factors, among them the new distributors in USA and UK.
Regarding a new date, Karmageddon Media (ex. Hammerheart Records) is talking about the third Monday in January (19/1 - 2004) but this is not yet confirmed...
We decided to do the release party anyway! Simply because we have put a lot of work to it and there would have been more trouble for us and the ones that decided to come to the party if we had postponed it!
Sincerely, Morifade.”

Nile Get Custom Guitar, End Touring Cycle
Dean Guitars recently completed a Nile custom V guitar — a "beautiful" U.S.A. handmade V in transparent black flame maple burst. Mr. Dean Zelinsky personally hand-delivered the guitar to NILE guitarist/vocalist Karl Sanders at the Vic Theatre in Chicago and spent the evening hanging out with the band, taking pictures and enjoying the show.

Metal producer extraordinaire Andy Sneap (Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Opeth, Machine Head, Skinlab) has posted the following update on his web site:
"As you can see from the pics [Photo#1, Photo#2], we're slowly but surely getting there with the new studio. There's been no end of complications, but hopefully the control room will be getting fitted out by the end of next week.
"The Opeth live at Shepherds Bush DVD is now complete. That's been tough, a lot of work, dealing with the film people, who seem to think they have priority all the time. Quite frustrating at times but its come out great, don't ask me for a track listing, I have no idea what the songs are called, just 'long one' and 'even longer one'. For the boffins who need to know, its encoded in both DTS and Dolby 5.1 + normal stereo mix. More...

Former Metallica Bassit Auctions Off Memorabilia
Former Metallica bassist Ron McGovney has placed for sale on eBay a number of Metallica-related items from his personal collection. Among the items being auctioned off are the leather vest McGovney wore in the photo on the group's first flyer, Metallica's "Power Metal" business card, and a first-generation copy of the "No Life 'Till Leather" demo, featuring a never-before-heard riff tape of James Hetfield and Ron playing guitar. For more information, visit the auction page at this location.
In related news, McGovney recently made an appearance on the AllMetallica.com message board, MetBoard.com, and answered a couple of questions from fans regarding his time with Metallica and his current activities.
When asked if it was true that he inspired Cliff Burton for his bass solo "Anesthesia", McGovney said, "I did not write 'Anesthesia'. That was all Cliff." As to whether he still plays bass, Ron said, "I still have my basses, but I really don't play too much anymore. I pulled out Iron Maiden 'Killers' album the other day to see if I remember any songs on bass. I was surprised that I remembered most of the album. The last band I played in was Phantasm in 1986/87."
