Lamb of God's D. Randall Blythe has been featured on one of Canadian female fronted metalcore band BLOODSHOTEYE's new album 'Without Any Remorse'. Check out F.U.B.A.R featuring one of the heaviest male and female vocalist together on one song at this location.

Path of Betrayal Finish EP

Path of Betrayal are finished recording their new Ep, 'Deny Everything'. It's all been recorded and mastered, and they are waiting on the packaging.

"It's a whole different sound from us...heavy as fuck and keeping to the old school where it should be, none of that crying your eyes out emo bullshit, we arn't selling ourselfs out just yet!"

One of the new tracks, 'Way Of The Brotherhood', can be downloaded from their website. This track is not on the Ep, as it's "more of a live track".

There is also a new 2 track PROMO CD which you can only get at Path Of Betrayal shows - all you have to do is ask them for one. It contains the following tracks:

WE Nominated For Norwegian Grammy

WE has been nominated to a Norwegian Grammy (Spellemannsprisen) for "Lightyears Ahead". The other bands nominated in rock are Amulet, Ricochets, Thulsa Doom and Turbonegro. The awards takes place at Chateau Neuf in Oslo, Norway, Saturday 28th February. Details at www.spellemann.no.

ArmsBendBack Shoot Video, Records 7 New Songs

The ArmsBendBack song voted everyone’s favorite in the poll on their web site, “The Arms Of Automation” just had a video shot for it, which will be completed editing tomorrow. They'll have that up on their site and the Trustkill site real soon. ArmsBendBack also used the holiday break to write and record a bunch of new stuff - 7 new tracks. They'll have one of those up on the site for you to check out too.

Also, be sure to check the TOUR section for info on our upcoming tour with Facedown Records' Nodes Of Ranvier , some of the dates have changed. Also, keep an eye out for upcoming tours with the likes of Glasseater (Victory Records), A Jealousy Issue (ex. Poison the Well), and Stars Hide Fire . And lastly, the band are planning to have a brand new web site made, expected in the next month or so.

Site Update

Help Wanted!

As we move forward into another year of metal news and more, metalunderground.com is looking to bolster its staff and smooth out the coverage (across times of day and metal tastes/genres) more. We're looking to bring onboard another couple metalheads to help out with the news and band information (and reviews, interviews, and more later). We're especially interested in people who can post some news during the morning/day hours (Eastern Time), or someone in the midwest or west coast (US), or the UK, Europe or Australia, both for the time differences and for the difference in metal outlook and local scenes.

The only requirements other than a few (15-30) minutes a day to post news (and some time to occaisionally do a review or interview), is that you are fluent and can write well in English. And of course that you're a metalhead / headbanger, regardless of your specific metal tastes.

If being able to contribute to the metal community and underground (via metalunderground.com) sounds satisfying in itself, please contact me to help out, and become part of a rapidly growing website!

Between The Buried And Me Drummer Quits

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME has updated their official site with the following message:

"Hello all... we have lots of news at this moment. First off, we finally found a guitarist. Secondly, we lost our drummer Mark Castillo because we weren't "fun" enough for him to stay in the band. So once again we are looking for a new full time drummer. Please email betweentheburied@hotmail.com if you want to tryout. You need to be very motivated and willing to dedicate your life to our band. Serious musicians only... we're tired of flakes honestly. We are still planning to tour constantly when we get this lineup situation figured out. Sorry to those wanting to see us live on the 10th of january in charlotte, nc... we had to cancel to due to this problem. We'll be back soon, we promise."
