Michael Schenker Talks About UFO and Scorpions
MICHAEL SCHENKER explains why he did what many thought was unthinkable, selling the rights to the UFO name to former bandmates vocalist PHIL MOGG and bassist PETE WAY, "I was asked by Phil to give the name back, and I decided to do so because I was irritated with those guys. It wasn't worth it for me to stick around. Phil sounded desperate." He went on to explain the personality conflicts, "I was irritated by everything. It was weird. Chimaira Drummer Andols Comments On Departure
CHIMAIRA drummer Andols Herrick has made his official statement for the departure of the band:
"As many of you might know by now, I have decided to leave my brothers in CHIMAIRA to pursue other interests. This was a very difficult and emotionally taxing decision, and it was something I had been pondering for quite a while. Basically, I am really burned out on the touring lifestyle. Unfortunately, the schedule got the best of me. I got to the point where I wasn't having fun performing anymore, and that is extremely hard to deal with.More...
Bal-Sagoth Writing Material For New Album
UK black/death metallers BAL-SAGOTH have written the following message on their official website:
"The writing of the long awaited sixth BAL-SAGOTH album is continuing, and the new material is sounding truly phenomenal. Fans of everything BAL-SAGOTH have crafted, from the debut album to the most recent opus, will truly find the forthcoming sixth album a wondrous and enthralling voyage into the darksome realms of sinister avant-garde black/death metal! Barbaric, baroque, bombastic... BAL-SAGOTH! Recording is expected to begin during the depths of winter, with a release through Nuclear Blast during the second quarter of 2004."
