The Red Chord Work On New Album, Line-up Changes
Things have been relatively quiet in The Red Chord camp lately as the band is now focused on completing their next full-length. The album is tentatively entitled "Clients" and is likely to hit stores later this year. The group has been in negotiations with several record labels during the past year and are now nearing a decision following extended negotiations. Meanwhile, The Red Chord has undergone some recent lineup changes as bassist Adam Wentworth recently left the group to join Premonitions Of War, while drummer Mike Justain is now playing with Unearth. Consequently, the band has added bassist Gregory Weeks (Beyond The Sixth Seal) and drummer Jon Down (Dead Water Drowning) to their lineup. Evanescence Looks To The Future, Next Album
Christie Eliezer of Australia's Beat magazine spoke with Evanescence singer Amy Lee about the band's next album, which will see the group trying to bounce back from the surprise departure of guitarist Ben Moody, who has since been replaced, for now anyways, with Cold guitarist Terry Balsamo. Former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland who worked with Lee on the soundtrack to 'Underworld' is keen to produce some tracks. "I'm open to all kinds of ideas at the moment," she said. "I listen back to 'Fallen' and realize we could have done so much more. Let's see what happens as the songs emerge. Wes and I talked recently. He's a good writer." Asked about the lyrical direction she's headed in, Lee said, "Everything. I've had so much building up - I've grown up so much in the last year - that all these things are flowing out. A lot of what's happened starts to make sense when you put it into context of a song. Right now, I avoid reading magazines because the media's really slamming me. You learn not to feel guilty and just be yourself."

Linkin Park's New Top Secret Animated Video
MTV News reports Linkin Park were fitted for costumes in late December and plan to finish their new video this month. The band refused to reveal any more details about the clip, including what song it will be for. In fact, the fourth 'Meteora' single is being kept so tightly under wraps that not even the band's management or publicist knew the title as of Wednesday.
"It's heavy on the animation," rapper Mike Shinoda revealed recently. "And when we say animation, we're not meaning CGI [computer-generated imagery]. This is the real deal, hand-drawn animation. So it's gonna be pretty cool. I mean, that could mean anything from, like, Thomas the Choo Choo Train to 'Akira.' So you can imagine Linkin Park rolling around with some Care Bears. It'd be pretty hot."
Update: It is said that the single and video is 'Breaking the Habit'
