Judas Priest And Slipknot Rumored For Ozzfest 2004
According to a reliable industry source, JUDAS PRIEST are "90 percent a go" for this year's Ozzfest, which is tentatively expected to kick off late June/early July. OZZY OSBOURNE, who is recovering from a nasty all-terrain-vehicle crash, will reportedly try to headline the festival once again, although any complications with his recovery may indefinitely postpone his return to the live stage. SLIPKNOT are believed to be in talks to co-headline the festival's second stage with HATEBREED, while DAMAGEPLAN and VELVET REVOLVER are also said to be strong possibilities. Says our source: "The thinking is that not enough people have been coming early so [the festival organizers] may lay off the newer acts and get more established acts for the second stage."
Single Bullet Theory Taps King Diamond Drummer
Philadelphia-based extreme metallers SINGLE BULLET THEORY will reportedly be utilizing the services of KING DIAMOND drummer Matt Thompson during the recording sessions for the new SBT album. At the present time, it is unclear whether Matt will join SBT as a full-fledged member. "We are actually using two excellent drummers for this disc," SINGLE BULLET THEORY guitarist/singer Matt Difabio stated. "The other guy is a good buddy of mine named Jason Dunkerly who is utterly amazing... It's gonna be great to have two excellent drummers on the disc." There is no official word yet as to how many songs either player will perform but there has been word of a classic metal cover being re-vamped.
SINGLE BULLET THEORY will begin recording the follow-up to 2003's "Route 666" (Crash/Pavement) at Angry Chair studios in Glenside, Pa. The record will be titled "Behind Eyes Of Hatred" and will be mixed by James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, DISINCARNATE).
Original SINGLE BULLET THEORY drummer John Sasso announced his departure after the band recently finished a U.S. tour with KING DIAMOND, ENTOMBED and NOCTURNE.
The band, who are currently receiving airplay on "Headbanger's Ball", "Extreme Rock" and "Uranium", are still looking for a full-time drummer to join once the disc is complete. Interested parties can contact the band at Thebullettheory@aol.com.

Guitars4Kids Auctions Guitars
Guitars4kids, a not-for-profit fundraising entity to benefit The St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, has recently launched at the 2004 N.A.M.M. Show in Anaheim, California.
Guitars4kids is founded by Michael Ciravolo, President of Schecter Guitar Research and Tish Ciravolo, President of Daisy Rock Guitars. This dynamic couple formed the Guitars4Kids charity to raise money for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital based in Memphis, TN. “Seeing the St. Jude’s TV commercial on Christmas Day and looking at our two healthy daughters opening presents, we felt we wanted to do something,” states Michael Ciravolo. “I lost my sister to cancer seven days after Christmas and we knew we had to do something to help”.
