Foetal Juice Reveals New Album Details
Since 2005, Mancunian stalwart of extreme metal Foetal Juice has made it an inexorable mission to corrupt the underground with its feast of deliciously graceless, diabolically grim, and downright pustular, pissed-off noise. With seven albums already in their disgusting discography, they are now adding an eighth "Grotesque" which promises to be filled with filthy riffs, deathly growls and sickening vocals. The first peak into this monstrosity is a visualizer for "Two Bongs Don’t Make a Right," which the band comments on:
"Sometimes we think we are leaving our grindy roots behind and going into a more death metal direction. So, with this one, we thought we should create a minute-and-a-half grind song without many riffs. It’s also designed to be a good ending to side A of vinyl with an abrupt ending. Lyrically it’s just about our singer not being able to smoke as much weed as he used to be able to and having a whitey."
This grindy, quick track was chosen to showcase the guitar playing as it has, in Rob Harris' opinion, one of the best riffs on the album and is a great one for guitarists to hear. True performers, who add professionalism and technicality to their sets they have carved a niche in discharging revolting death metal to smaller, high-energy audiences, through to the hungry masses at major festivals firmly ensconcing itself at the helm of the UK underground and making waves across the English Channel.
"Grotesque" is due out on November 17th, 2023 via Gore House Productions. More...
Satan's Fall Shares "Lead The Way" Music Video
Satan's Fall, one of Finland's fastest rising heavy metal stars, presents a tighter sound and sense of melody than ever before with their new single "Lead The Way" from their upcoming album "Destination Destruction."
Guitarist Tomi Mäenpää adds:
"The upcoming album is our strongest output so far. 'Lead The Way' was the first song I wrote for the upcoming album. The song was born almost by itself in one sitting during one day, but then we made the final arrangements together in the rehearsal room and in the studio. I think the song is a great opening track for the album. It is our statement that we are back in the game stronger than ever before."
The music video was directed, shot and edited by Esa Jussila. The album was recorded and mixed by Lassi Tiainen and mastered by Mika Jussila. More...
Guilt Trip Releases "Eyes Wide Shut" Video
Manchester’s Guilt Trip have dropped their brand new album, Severance, out today via Malevolence-run label MLVLTD. In celebration of the release, they've also shared a new single and video for "Eyes Wide Shut." You can check it out below.
On the new single and album, the band comment:
"This record pushes our sound in a different, more 90s metal-influenced direction while maintaining the spine we’ve become known for. Our writing schedule means we’ve had limited appearances on festivals and tours this year which, whilst being challenging for us personally, was necessary. Now all the hard work is finally coming to a head and we couldn’t be more excited to show the world what we’ve been drawing up. We believe 'Eyes Wide Shut' is one of the standouts of this body of work, channeling Lamb of God style riffs blended with our typical hardcore elements.
"Lyrically the song vents the notion of prior agendas clouding a person's perception of situations, seeing what you want to see and showing ignorance towards what you don’t, thus resulting in invalid judgement. The video for 'Eyes Wide Shut' is an artistic embodiment of this in form of a short film directed by Luigi Sibona, produced by Hollow Films." More...
Rage Behind To Release Debut Album In December
Today, French groove/nu-metal thrash monsters Rage Behind are proud to announce their long-awaited debut album "Eminence Or Disgrace" which will be released on December 8, 2023 via Atomic Fire Records. In addition, they have also revealed a powerful new song titled "Don't Break" which is accompanied by a visualizer video. Aggregating the precision of Slayer and the groove of acts like Lamb Of God, both transported in a modern groove metal world, their new track will delight a new generation of metal fans. In this decadent world, where one easily loses its moral compass, Rage Behind's intention with their music is to bring the listener to achieve eminence. The rage might be held behind the mask, but they always deliver the message.
The band comments: "'Don't Break' is a song fueled by hatred. However, the message through this hate is that patience, serenity and karma always work for you and are your best allies. It's a perfect song to describe the energy of our band, thrashy and incisive. It reminds us of some good memories when we were in the studio. It was a tough one to record but the result is sick!"
