War Curse Releases "The Convoy" Video
Ohio-based metal masters War Curse today unveil their new single and accompanying video for "The Convoy." The track comes by way of the band‘s "Confession" full-length, set for release on October 20th via Metal Blade Records/Blacklight Media.
Having built a devout fan base for their thrash-oriented metallic attack starting with 2015‘s "Final Days" and cemented with 2019‘s "Eradication," War Curse returns in 2023 a more refined animal. In fact, it could be argued that the ten tracks of Confession stand as War Curse‘s Black Album, having the courage to move beyond what they‘re known for and to focus on songwriting, groove, dynamics, and melody, without compromising on muscle one iota.
Elaborates Roth of the theme behind the band‘s fiery new single, "A number of prominent tyrants surfaced during the pandemic. Power hungry, seething scumbags who allowed their true colors to show. Very few private citizens had the will or the means to stand up to them. ’The Convoy‘ is a modern day battle hymn written for the people who risked their livelihood and reputations for our individual liberties. May every power drunk dictator one day find themselves at the end of a short rope." More...

Catafalque Primiere New Track On Metalunderground
Catafalque deliver drone doom metal with strong influences of noise and industrial, resulting in an extreme, experimental and uncompromising sound. Their new album "Dybbuk" will be released on October 13th 2023 via Aural Music / Code666.
Inspired by a malicious spirit from ancient folklore, "Dybbuk" is an album that is overwhelming and crushing, embodying a deeply layered swamp of percussion, atmospheric noise, and loud, bassy frequencies. "Dybbuk" is an extreme and abrasive album that marries the exhaustive and overwhelming qualities of old school doom metal with the harsh textures and frequencies found in noise and industrial. "Dybbuk" will appeal greatly to fans of established acts such as Khanate, The Body, Thou, Merzbow, Godflesh and Prurient. More...
Nanowar Of Steel Unveils New Lyric Video
Dedicated to providing the world with laughter, Nanowar Of Steel recently released their most multi-faceted and intelligently fresh comedic album, "Dislike To False Metal." Traversing the much too often self-important universe of modern heavy metal, the Italian quintet performed their disturbingly addictive songs like "Disco Metal" and "Pasadena 1994" (over 2M YouTube video views) during this year’s tour with Frozen Crown and on festival stages like Summer Breeze Open Air.
In anticipation of their upcoming North American touring debut with headliner DragonForce and special guests Amaranthe and Edge Of Paradise, which kicks off October 20, Nanowar Of Steel have shared a lyric video for "Metal Boomer Battalion." The band dodges the social media musings of the world wide web’s most elite cat-meme-sharing sector of comment section experts in this hilarious visual.
Nanowar Of Steel on “Metal Boomer Battalion”:
"The ‘Metal Boomer Battalion’ is the anthem of today's Legion of Metalheads, fighting post by post online to restore the purity and sanctity of our beloved music genre.
"The Metal Boomer Battalion knows that the Metal Scene was much better in 1922 and that by the power of their threats to unfollow and unsubscribe the unbelievers they will force bands to play only metal that is TRUE.
"Become a Keyboard Warrior Of the World, join the Metal Boomer Battalion today!" More...
Dying Wish Posts New Music Video Online
Portland's own Dying Wish will release their new album "Symptoms Of Survival" on November 3 via SharpTone Records and in anticipation, the band has shared a new music video for the song, "Path To Your Grave." You can check it out below.
"'Path to Your Grave' was written in mind as 'Fragments Part Two,'" says Emma Boster. "'Fragments' is written about my struggle of my relationship with my stepfather, who was manipulative, controlling, and abusive towards me. That mistreatment has resulted in a lot of unhealthy habits and patterns in my life that I have struggled to move on from. 'Fragments One' was me talking about my experience publicly for the first time. After expressing my grief, the song concludes with 'I would bury you if I could.' This song also concludes with the same seven words but has a different outlook. Since releasing 'Fragments,' I have grown to a new level of acceptance with my trauma and this song is about that acceptance. The anger and the hurt is still there, but now, it just stings a little less. It has a much more triumphant expression." More...
Nervosa Shares "Elements Of Sin" Video
Following a packed festival season including appearances at the legendary Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze and many more, boisterous thrashers Nervosa release new single / video "Elements Of Sin." This raging track features some of the album’s most insane guitar work and thundering vocals, and is the third single cut from the fierce upcoming fifth full-length, "Jailbreak," released this Friday, 29th September via Napalm Records. You can view the video below.
Guitarist / vocalist Prika Amaral comments: "’Elements Of Sin’ was one of the first songs that me and Helena composed together. I remember when the riff from the chorus came at the end of 2021 and the lyrics of the chorus came together. We were so excited with this song that we also composed a few parts of the drums at that time. The process of composing of this album was very fun." More...
