The Famine Posts New Video Online

The Famine's new music video for their song "Consume, Devour, Repeat" is up now on MTV's Headbangers Blog (also viewable below). The song is off their album "The Raven and The Reaping," which is in stores and online now.

Here’s what The Famine vocalist Michael Christian McCaddon has to say about the new video:

"The lyrics of 'Consume, Devour, Repeat' deal with corrupt leaders. We wanted to shy way from political bludgeonings or overt partisanship, so we employed the metaphor of an underworld king-type character who ultimately meets his untimely end. In a sense, the story line of the video serves as a microcosm of the world view presented in the song. The video was shot in an abandoned brewery in Cincinnati, Ohio by the illustrious Andy Reale." "Hello Everyone,

"I am back from up North visiting our brother Cheng. His condition remains the same - serious, but stable. We, along with the entire Cheng family, would like to extend our gratitude to everyone that's said a prayer or sent out their positive thoughts to Chi. Your support means more than you know.

"During his recovery process, Chi's mother has asked that each day we spread a little bit of good in his name. So each day Deftones will be posting what you can do to help Chi recover. Today, she has asked that you all remember to buckle your seat belts, and remind those you love to buckle up. By doing something so little in his name, you will be helping him find the strength to recover.

"Dear fans,

"Unfortunately we have to announce that, due to family matters, (drummer) Stephen (Van Haestregt) hasn’t been able to rehearse with us for the upcoming theatre tour. That’s why Stephen has asked Mike Coolen to replace him for the rehearsals and consequently also for the theatre tour. You might have seen Mike Coolen (BROTHERHOOD FOUNDATION, DAYBROKE) with us before, as he replaced Stephen during a few shows last year. We kindly ask you to also give Mike a warm welcome!

"Speaking of shows, the upcoming theatre tour will be our last tour for a while. The upcoming year we will focus on writing new songs and work on recording a new album. We have done over 180 shows in 40 countries in the past 2 years. New continents have been visited (like the United States, South-America and Russia) and we also did shows in Eastern Europe for the first time. The Black Symphony concert with the Metropole Orchestra in Ahoy Rotterdam has been an absolute highlight. We’re still very proud of the amazing DVD and Blu-ray in which it has resulted. It have been two intense, but amazing years and we’d like to thank you all for giving us your warm welcome and support! More...

Bloodbath Hoping To Shoot New Music Video

Swedish metallers Bloodbath have issued the following update:

"If you haven’t already checked out the new sick shirt design, do it now because we pulled out all the stops on this one. The original artwork was done by Jeff Finley and features a winged demon vomiting on Jesus on a cross, surrounded by snakes, vultures on tree and a ton of fine detail to be found, capped by the Bloodbath logo on top. The back features the text “Mock the Cross” with the demon from the front in red. The design was also printed using a technique which results in the ink becoming one with the fabric, creating a soft vintage look and feel. Not a shirt to miss, so grab one now!

"There are also rumours saying that Bloodbath might shoot a video for one of the songs off The Fathomless Mastery and we can confirm that to be true. Stay tuned to find out what song it will be and much more."

Black Light Burns Parts Ways With Bassist

Black Light Burns guitarist Wes Borland has posted the following message online:

"Hello, Hello. Please allow me drop the first of a series of upcoming news posts. The BAD news: Our good friend and cohort Sean Fetterman, for reasons we are unable to disclose, will no longer be able to play with Black Light Burns. We're thinking of him and hoping the best for him wherever he is. The GOOD news: Bass duties from now on will be covered by no other than Anvil Pants celebrity Dennis "Jr" Sanders. Some of you may have gotten to know Dennis out on the road and some of you may even know that he's played a show on bass with us before when Sean couldn't make it. The loss of Sean is great, but I think our gain with Dennis is even greater. If you saw the one show he played with us, you know he's a wild cat up there and brings a lot of filthy swagger to the show. He's also a professional son of a gun. Thanks, -Wes"
