Equilibrium To Release New Album In November
Cinematic, folk-metal trailblazers Equilibrium are thrilled to announce that their new studio album, "Equinox," will be released on November 28th via Nuclear Blast Records. Today they've also released firey new single "I'll Be Thunder" accompanied by a raw, earthy performance video.
Equilibrium commented:
"'I'll Be Thunder' is a very impulsive song that shows the experimental and uncompromising side of Equilibrium. Therefore we tried to emphasise this with a unique, archaic performance video. The whole visual concept, set design and costumes have been hand crafted by Jessica Rösch again. I love this song, because while the notes of it came intuitively to my mind, the lyrics are about self-empowerment, breaking free from limitations, and embracing one’s true strength and authenticity.
"It is also the perfect moment to announce our upcoming album 'Equinox,' which is all about authenticity, reconnection with and rediscovering our own art. It took a long time to go through this process since a lot has happened throughout the last few years in the history of Equilibrium. It represents the bright and dark side of our music and we can't wait to share the whole thing with the world and enlighten this new chapter. The album contains all the cinematic, folky, harsh and soft elements an Equilibrium album should have." More...

Robse Signs With Reaper Entertainment
Robert "Robse" Dahn was the frontman of the epic metal formation Equilibrium for 13 years. When the metal-crazy singer wasn't traveling the world with his band, he was involved in countless projects as a guest musician or idea generator, and could always be found off-stage at all the festivals.
After the separation with Equilibrium in the fall of 2022, Robse finally found the time to continue working on his solo album, which had been planned for many years but never realized. Together with musician friends he continued to work on existing songs, wrote new songs and dug up long forgotten treasures... as a special bonus, guest appearances by many well-known musicians are planned.
Robse has now signed a worldwide record deal with Reaper Entertainment.
He comments:
"Everything to the beginning! With my band Robse, everything is about friendship - not only in the choice of my fellow musicians, but also in the record deal. So I didn't have to think about it for a second and knew that for this new start only the collaboration with my longtime friend Flori would come into question. I am happy that we are also going this way together and that I can count him to the Robse family. Let's revive the spirit of old days with bombast, fun and hard guitar riffs!"
Flori from Reaper Entertainment adds:
"When Robse and I met on the Erdentempel campaign about 10 years ago, the chemistry between us was instant. After we were done working, we sat in camping chairs until the wee hours of the morning, drank beer from his trunk, and had completely pointless conversations... it turned into a real friendship over the years. When Robse called me and told me about a solo album, I didn't have to think long. I am very happy that he is now part of the Reaper family."
The as yet untitled solo album is scheduled for release in spring 2024 via Reaper Entertainment.
Equilibrium Introduces New Vocalist
It's been silent around the Equilibrium camp for some time, but today, the German modern metal virtuosos are pleased to release a new single titled "Shelter." Powerful gutturals, sharp riffs, and a unique blend between modern and folk metal – "Shelter" presents the six-piece as the much-proclaimed phoenix rising from the ashes, ready to shine for the next three decades of Equilibrium.
"During the last months, we contemplated much on what Equilibrium means to us – musically and lyrically. And even though there are some important parameters shaping our style, we usually just start writing without questioning the process at all," states bandleader René. "We are very motivated and inspired and full of ideas. We want to create music without any compromises and just want to bring the feelings that we had in the studio to the stage. Currently, we’re continuously working on new songs and new shows."
The song was written and produced by René Berthiaume and Cleo Tiger, mixed by Robin Leijon and René Berthiaume, and mastered by Dom R. Crey at the Splendid Waves Studios.
The song has an important meaning for the band as it doesn’t only herald the beginning of Equilibrium's next chapter, it also introduces the band’s new singer Fabian Getto as a driving force for the metal veterans’ future. René states about the new singer: "We did an open casting call and Fabian sent in a vocal performance of ‘Renegades’ that caught our attention. There was something special about him and we had to follow this intuition. Right from the first meeting we had an incredibly good connection and a productive and creative day in the studio. It seems like the person that we were looking for with our public casting call finally found his way to us."
Watch the new singer in action in the new music video for 'Shelter', directed and produced by Hammer & Tiger Production below. More...
