German folk metallers Equilibrium have issued the following statement about the chart positions of the band's new album:
"We just smashed the German, Austrian and Swiss charts with our brand new effort 'Rekreatur!' Germany: # 20, Austria: # 58, Switzerland: # 58. What a blast! Already last time we couldn’t believe we entered the charts! But this time we charted 10 positions higher – which is just an amazing feeling!
"We wanna thank Nuclear Blast for believing in our music just as we do! And of course we wanna thank our fans who still stick to us despite all the change we had to undergo. We’re looking forward to the upcoming summer festivals and partying with you guys! To put it with Robse 'We’re gonna step the pedal to the metal!'!"
German folk metallers Equilibrium have posted a music video online for the song "Der ewige Sieg," which is off the band's new album “Rekreatur." The clip can be viewed below. "Rekreatur" will be released on June 18th, 2010 via Nuclear Blast.
Commented songwriter and guitarist René Berthiaume: “We’re very proud of our new video! Compared to our video for 'Blut im Auge' we decided not to use any kind of effects this time. Everything has been filmed like you can see in the video! Florian Puchert and his team did a great job and we had a bad ass time while shooting this clip in the beautiful Bavarian mountains – not only because that kind barman who provided us with lots of booze!”
German folk metal outfit Equilibrium is set to release the upcoming album "Rekreatur" on June 18th, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records. The band is now streaming the entire new album "Rekreatur" online via the official Equilibrium MySpace page until its release date.

Equilibrium has now posted a new teaser trailer online for the album, which can be viewed below. You can also check out several sample tracks from the new album via the band's official MySpace page.
German folk metallers Equilibrium have issued the following announcement about streaming a new song online:
"We just posted another brand new track called 'Verbrannte Erde' off our upcoming album 'Rekreatur' to our official MySpace profile! We decided to release 'Verbrannte Erde' to show you guys how diverse 'Rekreatur' turned out to be! Each song on the album has its own story and sounds totally different.
"'Verbrannte Erde' is about the deployment of an army before the first wave of attack, about the unbroken will to win and determination to be victorious despite several previous setbacks. It’s one of my current favorite Equilibrium songs! 'Rekreatur' will be released on June 18, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records!"
German folk metal act Equilibrium has uploaded the first teaser trailer for the band's new album "Rekreatur." The clip can be viewed below. Equilibrium has also posted an acoustic version of the song “Heimwärts,” which will appear on the “Rekreatur” bonus CD. The track is available for streaming via the band's MySpace page. "Rekreatur" is the first Equilibrium album to feature new vocalist Robse Dahn, and the album will be unleashed on June 18th, 2010 via Nuclear Blast.
Equilibrium front man René Berthiaume commented: "The compositions of Equilibrium just ask for being played in different constellation. A lof of fans already did it and showed it on YouTube! Since we wanna offer our fans a lot more with each release than just the album itself, we recorded a bonus cd with acoustic versions of old and new songs for the limited edition of Rekreatur!"
German folk metal act Equilibrium has issued the following update about streaming a new song online and shooting a music video:
"We just posted another new song called 'Der ewige Sieg' here on MySpace! We will also shoot a video for this song which comes off our upcoming album 'Rekreatur!' 'Der ewige Sieg' is about the renewal of nature and mankind at the turn of the year which also is connected to the album title. The video clip for that song will be directed by Florian Puchert. He’s an old friend of the band since I composed the music for some of his movies. Now we’re turning tables and he does the flick for our music. Other than our last video we won’t have that many digital effects in it rather than going for a more organic and realistic look. He and his team have tons of good ideas and we are looking forward to work with him! 'Rekreatur' is set to be released on June 18 via Nuclear Blast!"
German folk metallers Equilibrium have issued the following update about posting a new song online and revealing the artwork for their new album:
"We just launched the 'Countdown to recreation!' From now we will post a cool surprise every week until the day of release of "Rekreatur" on June 18! For a start the cover and the track list has been posted! The cover has been designed by Alev who already did the design for 'Unbesiegt.' Furthermore we also uploaded a brand new song. Since the songs on 'Rekreatur' are way more diverse and varied than ever, it wasn't an easy decision which song to post first. We chose 'Die Affeninsel' ('the monkey island') to begin with! But there's also a reason to it.
"You've got the opportunity to create the cover for the radio- / club-single 'Die Affeninsel'! The best piece will be printed on the sleeve of the single's cardboard! The winner will also get a signed copy of the single as well as the huge, self made EQUILIBRIUM banner that has been with the band on stage for the past years! More...

German pagan metallers Equilibrium just announced the addition of Robse as their new singer. Robse will be the permanent replacement for Helge Stang who left the band recently. An introduction video can be viewed below.
Commented mainman Rene Berthiaume: “We know Robse for quite some time now so for us it was a just a logical decision having him as the new singer of Equilibrium. The recordings are on and with his stunning voice we got shitloads of new possibilities for the new album up our sleeves! The mood in the band is fantastic and we can’t wait to enter the stage with Robse!”
Added Robse: “I am really proud and thankful for being a part of the Equilibrium family now! Two years ago, Rene asked me if I wanted to handle the vocals on one of his projects. So the foundation was already there. Now being the singer of his main band is just amazing! The boys and the girl welcomed me so warmly and I am SO looking forward to the things to come!”
German metal band Equilibrium has announced that they have parted ways with their vocalist and drummer.
The band has issued the following statement explaining the decision, "Unfortunately we have to tell you that Helge, Manu and Equilibrium go their separate ways for personal reasons. We parted on amicable terms and we wish them all the best for their future. We really had an amazing time with them on stage!"
"Certainly, this split is not going to impact the music of Equilibrium which means the songs will still be composed by René Berthiaume. At the moment, we are recording our third album at Helion Studios in Munich which will be released in June. And we can already give away that this album will contain plenty of bombast, harshness, epic poetry, emotions, curious musical surprises and much more!" More...
Swiss folk metal banmd ELUVEITIE has posted another new song off their highly anticipated new album "Everything Remains (As It Never Was)." The song, "Kingdom Come Undone," can be heard on the band's MySpace page.
Bandleader Chrigel Glanzmann comments, "Here comes the second song off our upcoming album we'd like to present you: 'Kingdom come undone!' One of our harsher tracks, where juggernautish riffs meet with onrushing folk melodies. And exactly the same furious character also lies in the lyrics. The song deals with Vercingetorix, a Gaulish freedom fighter who lived in the time of the Gaulish war. His endeavor was to unite the Gaulish clans. The song presents you a passionate speech, like he probably could have held it in front of assembled Gaulish chieftains.
In that sense: This is V... for Vercingetorix!" More...
FINNTROLL has revealed that their new album, "Nifelvind," will be release in February 2010. Previously rumored to be named "Mot Skuggornas Värld," "Nifelvind" was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland and mastered by Mika Jussila (add any big Finnish Metal band for namedropping) at Finnvox Studios. The album cover artwork was done again by the band's own guitarist Skrymer.
FINNTROLL comments on the album as follows:
“After tough and hectic weeks in the studio, due to lack of time and summer festivals, we are now really, really pleased with the results. 'Nifelvind' is the most advanced and mature FINNTROLL-album to date, with musical themes ranging from powerful death metal riffs to dark soundtracks, from pounding black metal to groovy 80's pop-music. All this is accompanied by our trademark sound, lots of never-before-heard instruments in the metal-scene, folklore and legends that make it overall the most versatile album we have created so far.”
The tracklisting for "Nifelvind" is as follows:
1. Blodmarsch (intro)
3. Den Frusna Munnen
4. Ett Norrskensdåd
5. I Trädens Sång
6. Tiden Utan Tid
8. Mot Skuggornas Värld
9. Under Bergets Rot
