Glassjaw Cancel UK Tour
Glassjaw have once again been forced to cancel the rest of their British tour. This is because once again frontman Daryl Palumbo has been hospitalised with Crohn's Disease.
Metallica Announce St. Anger Tracklist
Metallica have now confirmed the full track listing for new album ‘St. Anger’. Produced by Bob Rock, it should be issued on June 9 in the UK/Europe, and the following day in America. The 11 songs are: ‘Frantic’, ‘St. Anger’, ‘Some Kind Of Monster’, ‘Dirty Window’, ‘Invisible Kid’, ‘My World’, ‘Shoot Me Again’, ‘Sweet Amber’, ‘Unnamed Feeling’, ‘Purify’ and ‘All Within My Hands’.
Deftones Announce Tracklist
Deftones have confirmed the track listing for their upcoming, self-titled album. Produced by Terry Date, it will be released on May 19. The full list of songs is: ‘Hexagram’, ‘Needles And Pins’, ‘Minerva’, ‘Good Morning Beautiful’, ‘Deathblow’, ‘When Girls Telephone Boys’, ‘Battle Axe’, ‘Lucky You’, ‘Bloody Cape’, ‘Anniversary Of An Uninteresting Event’ and ‘Moana’.
Machine Head Get Vio-lent
Machine Head have a new guitarist. It’s Phil Demmel, whose recently been helping them out on tour. Demmel previously worked with Machine Head mainman Robert Flynn in Bay Area band Vio-Lence.
Incubus Settle With Sony
Incubus have settled their dispute with Sony Records, and have signed a new three-album deal. The band had recently filed a lawsuit in an effort to get away from the company, but all now seems to amicable between the various parties.
Woods of Belial Sign with Firebox
Finland's Woods of Belial have signed a deal with Firebox Records. The band features members from such celebrated Finnish bands as Moonsorrow and Finntroll, but the Woods Of Belial style of music is entirely different: it's Celtic Frost-influenced industrial horror doom metal! Their album "Deimos XIII" is scheduled for release in mid-August 2003.
Dark Lunacy Complete Album
The new Dark Lunacy full length "Forget-Me-Not" produced by Enomys, guitarist of the band, is finally finished. The new album is planned for release by Self Records by the end of this spring.
Soilent Green Active Again
Following a long period of inactivity after their auto accidents in late-2001 and early-2002, Soilent Green has been back in action as of late. The group recently made two additions to the band: second guitarist Tony White and bassist Scott Crochet. The current lineup also features Brian Patton (guitar), Tommy Buckley (drums), and Ben Falgoust (vocals). They are currently working on new material and hope to enter the studio by the end of 2003 for a new Relapse Records release. After recording, they also plan to embark on a full tour in early 2004. In the meantime, they have two shows lined up:

5/6 Metaire LA @ Zeppelin's w/ Mastodon, etc. (Relapse tour)
Koldborn Lose Vocalist
Denmark's Koldborn have parted ways with their vocalist, Martin Leth. Leth had been a member of the band since its founding. The band is currently searching for a replacement singer.
Total Devastation to Release Debut in June
Finland's Total Devastation plays "aggressive massmurder metal" as they call it, and since their birth in 1998, they have released 5 demo CD's (one being demo of the month in Metal Hammer). The band has decided that now was the time for their debut. The disc was recorded and mixed at Sundi Coop Studio by Tuomo Valtonen and it will be released on 16th of June 2003 through Firebox Records.

Entombed Added to BW&BK's 6 Pack
Pioneering Swedish deathsters Entombed are confirmed for the BW&BK 6-Pack Weekend! Formed in the late ‘80s out of the ashes of Nihilist, Entombed garnered worldwide attention immediately through their first two legendary Earache releases Left Hand Path (1990) and Clandestine (1992). Their most recent slabs of brutality, Uprising (2000) and Morning Star (2002) have signaled a return to their grinding roots and the forthcoming release of their new studio album, Inferno (out on May 12th in Europe through Music For Nations) will induce more pain on the Metal masses.
Entombed’s live show is unsurpassed and the band will be showcasing the Inferno material when they perform on Friday June 13!

Cruachan Renew with Hammerheart
Cruachan have renewed their deal with Hammerheart for two more albums. The band will be in Dublin’s Sonic Studios between April 26th and June 9th to record Pagan, the follow-up to their Folk-Lore album.
Meanwhile, the band have welcomed new member Ed Gilbert. Ed previously played with the band as a guest musician last year and has now become a full time band member. Being a multi-instrumentalist Ed will be responsible for keyboard, banjo, tin whistle, acoustic guitars and basco jays in Cruachan.
Atrocity Rejoined by Thorsten Bauer
Veteran German metallers Atrocity have been rejoined by guitarist Thorsten Bauer. "The exceptional guitar player is happy to be together with the band again," reads a message on the band's official web site. "Tosso and the rest of the guys are working on new material" for inclusion on the follow-up to 2000's "Gemini", tentatively due in late 2003/early 2004. More information will be made available soon.
Kataklysm Joins The Haunted Tour
Canadian death metallers Kataklysm have been added to the forthcoming U.S. tour featuring The Haunted, Shai Hulud, and Bleeding Through. Prior to joining the The Haunted tour, the group will perform several solo headlining dates as well as a few gigs with Darkest Hour.

Celtic Frost Post Song Demo Online
Reunited Swiss avant-garde metallers Celtic Frost have made available for exclusive use via www.celticfrost.com one of the demos for the new album currently in the works.
The song is called "Ground", written in 2002/2003, and is said to be "a mere pre-production demo," recorded earlier this year at the band's rehearsal space in Zurich, Switzerland. Pre-production demos are used to further develop material and to showcase new music to producers, engineers, and the band's industry partners. More...
Defenestration To Record Second Album
Defenestration will enter New Rising Studios before the end of April to record their sophomore album, due later in the year through Dreamcatcher Records. According to the band's record label, the group's new songs "show a very confident and mature band that have progressed 100% since their debut album 'One Inch God'." After leaving the studio, the band will embark on a UK tour that will include both headline shows and a support tour with Fallen To. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
Dying Fetus Set Tracklist for Stop At Nothing
Dying Fetus have set a May 13 release date for their next studio album, titled Stop At Nothing. Stop At Nothing was recorded at Hit and Run Studios in Rockville, Maryland and is the first to feature second guitarist Mike Kimball, who officially joined the band last September.

New Bands Added to With Full Force Fest 2003
Prong and Stone Sour are the latest acts to have been confirmed for Germany's With Full Force 2003 festival, which is set to take place July 4-6 at airport Roitzschjora, Löbnitz near Leipzig.

Turbonegro Frontman Addresses "bottle issue"
Turbonegro frontman Hank Von Helvete has issued a statement addressing the March 30 incident in New York when he was bottled off stage, leaving him hospitalized.
Von Helvete's statement reads as follows:
"Dear Fans, Friends and Turbojugends.
"As you surely know, the US tour is now over, and I'm back home in Oslo Norway. Four weeks of crusading the states have surely given me some experiences for better and worse. Well it turned out to be more for the better than worse. This tour has in fact been the best one I've ever done. All shows were great, and that is exceptional.
"There is of course this one little incident containing a bottle, a cancelled show and some stitches. I'm talking about the Mercury Lounge show in New York. I have registered that this small incident has been noticed by a great number of fans and it has been written lots about it. I feel I should give you all my own version of how I myself saw things as they happened and my impression of the aftermath: More...
Stormwind Part with Keyboardist
Sweden's Stormwind, the band featuring guitarist Thomas Wolf and former Candlemass singer Thomas Vikstrom, have parted ways with keyboardist Kaspar Dahlqvist.
"After four years of blood, sweat and great rock'n'roll, Kaspar Dahlqvist has decided to leave Stormwind to devote himself 100% to his family and Dionysus," reads a posting on Stormwind's official web site.
"My life is rearranging quite heavily at the moment, and I've made the choice to leave Stormwind because I can't give the band as much attention and care as it needs," Kaspar said.
A replacement keyboardist has yet to be announced. More...
