Full Blown Chaos Tour Dates
Full Blown Chaos are hitting the road as support on the upcoming tour with Metal Legends Sepultura & Voivod. Metallica CD Cover Art and New Logo Unveiled
Metallica's St. Anger, their first studio album in a half a dozen years, will likely bring with it further controversy, for beyond musical critique, the fans will be asked to accept a new logo and the album artwork has also been released here. The new disc is due June 10th via Elektra Records.
I sure hope it's better than that new logo and cover art!
Lion's Share Auditioning Drums and Bass
Swedish melodic metalers LION'S SHARE will be holding auditions for the vacant drummer and bassist positions in the band and are inviting all interested parties to submit demos, bios and photos to: JK Productions, ATTN: Lion's Share, Vinterv. 8K, 135 40 Tyreso, Sweden. All live auditions will be held in Stockholm sometime in the fall.
LION'S SHARE guitarist Lars Chriss is currently composing material for the group's fifth studio album with an as-yet-undisclosed vocalist for a tentative fall 2004 release. LION'S SHARE's last CD, "Entrance", was issued in 2001 through Germany's Massacre Records.
Hatebreed Working On New Album
Hatebreed have already started working on their new album. Recording should begin shortly, with producer Zeuss at the helm.
Avenged Sevenfold Get Producer
Avenged Sevenfold are to work with producer Mudrock (Godsmack) on their new album. To be titled ‘Waking The Fallen’, it will be released by Hopeless Records in August.
Statovarius Cancel Asian Dates
Finnish power metallers Statovarius are the latest band to cancel shows in Asia, because of fears over the deadly SARS virus. Te band were due to play dates in Taiwan and South East Asia.
I'm wondering how much of this is the band's fear of the virus or the likelihood that the locals' fear of the virus will result in poor sales/attendance. Drop me a line with your insights.

Evanescence Pulled From Christian Shops
Mega selling US band Evanescence have become embroiled in controversy because of their former Christian roots. The band were apparently known for openly being a Christian rock act prior to the release of current album ‘Fallen’. But now they seem keen to distance themselves from their past. As a result, their label Wind-Up, intend to pull all copies of the album from Christian-related shops.
