Sepultura Live Album With Max
Sepultura will have their last ever show with Max Cavalera released as a live album later this year. To be called ‘Live At Brixton’, it was recorded at London’s Brixton Academy in December 1996.
Lollapalooza Postponed
Despite recently announcing that Lollapalooza, the original travelling festival, would make a comeback this summer, it now seems that the organizers – including Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell – have had a change of heart. Instead they’ll now wait until next summer, when they feel a line-up worthy of the festival’s reputation can be put together. On the subject of Jane’s Addiction, the band are currently recording a new album with producer Bob Ezrin.
Type O Negative Aim For Halloween
Type O Negative are aiming to release their next album around Hallowe’en. The band have been demoing material for the as yet untitled record, and they’ve also taken time out to cover Deep Purple’s ‘Highway Star’ for the upcoming NASCAR-sponsored compilation album ‘Crank It Up’; Slayer were originally due to do this number for the album, before switching to Steppenwolf’s ‘Born To Be Wild’.

Satyricon Album Update
An update from Satyr on the upcoming Satyricon album: “Another tale from Darkmark. We're almost done, two songs left to go plus some additional vocals that we will be doing today (04.01). There will be no Yankees on this album (maybe it's fate?). We always like to have our friends come and be on our albums and I'm sure we'll catch up with them later. Anja Garbarek's doing another little piece today that will show up on the song to be featured as a bonus track on Ten Horns - Ten Diadems. That one is by the way getting closer to a release. Been spending the last nights after mixing on the cover art with our designer. All albums have a song that is seriously going to hold you back and take a lot of extra time, and it's completely unpredictable which one it will be. "Repined Bastard Nation", the song you will get to hear from the new album on Ten Horns... took twice the time at least to mix, but I think we ended up with what we were looking to get. It strikes me that the songs on this album are extremely different from each other, but there seems to be a scarlet thread through it all; power, atmosphere and dynamics."
Nick Menza Looking for Frontman
Former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza has announced the line-up for his touring band. Alongside Menza will be Anthony Gallo, Ty Longley, and Jason Levin. As far as a frontman goes, Menza explains, “That is still in the works. I have to find the right guy, so we have been auditioning like mad! In the mean time, we are going over the music on the CD and doing our own writing. These players are permanent. They're awesome to work with and it's great to be able to have everyone participate. Halford to Have New Release this summer
Halford's as-yet-untitled sophomore studio effort is scheduled to be issued in Japan on June 21st. A North American release is expected a short time later.
Di'Anno autobiography out in June
Former Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di'Anno will publish his long-awaited autobiography, entitled The Beast, on Friday, June 14th via John Blake Publishing Limited/London. Quote: “I may be a rock star, but when the police nicked me with a kilo of coke and an Uzi, they weren't asking me for autographs…”

Godflesh Cancel North American Tour
Godfleshhave cancelled their previously-announced North American tour with High On Fire and Halo tour due to frontman Justin Broadrick's failing health, according to a spokesperson for the band's US label Koch Records.
