Manson Hit With Wrongful Death Suit

Marilyn Manson has been hit with a ‘wrongful death’ lawsuit, filed by Maria St. John, the mother of Jennifer Syme, a former girlfriend of Keanu Reeves. She accuses Manson of giving Jennifer cocaine and encouraging her to drive while drunk; St. John’s daughter died after a party at Manson's house on April 1, 2001. The lawsuit seeks undisclosed damages. Commenting on the situation, Manson himself says:

“Words cannot express the pain that I feel over the loss of Jennifer Syme’s life. After Jennifer was sent home safely with a designated driver, she later got behind the wheel of her own car for reasons known only to her. Her death is sad and tragic.”
