Hetfield Guests on Gov't Mule Track
Metallica frontman James Hetfield and Primus bassist Les Claypool make guest appearances on Gov'T Mule's track "Drivin' Rain", which is set to be included on the forthcoming NASCAR-sponsored compilation, entitled Crank It Up, which will be released through MCA Records on May 21st. Hetfield, a longtime fan of Gov'T Mule who had previously interviewed the group for a guitar magazine, reportedly contributes vocals to the aforementioned cut.
James' appearance on the track was reportedly confirmed by MCA Records and eMule, the official Gov'T Mule e-mail list.

Konkhra Enter Recording Studio
Denmark's Konkhra commenced the recording sessions for their brand new album on April 8th at Starstruck studio for a late 2002 release through an as-yet-undetermined label.
Konkhra will premiere 5-6 new songs during their performance at a Turkish metal festival on June 29th. Also set to appear at the event are Blind Guardian, Rotting Christ, and Autumn Blaze, among others.
Zane to work with December Wolves
Earache Records has just upped the ante on extremity by commissioning legendary metalhead porn king Matt Zane to direct the new December Wolves video. Zane, who has made a name for himself across the globe with such films as "Backstage Sluts" and "Cherry Poppers," will be directing a clip for the song "Porn Again Christian", a track from December Wolves' upcoming album, Blasterpiece Theatre.
