Ozzfest Sells Out, Adds Dates
The following Ozzfest 2002 dates have now officially been sold out:
Jul. 12 – Camden, NJ @ Tweeter Center
Jul. 19 – Holmdel, NJ @ PNC Center
Aug. 07 - Clarkston, MI @ DTE Energy Center
The following “second” shows have been added:
Jul. 17 - Boston, MA @ Tweeter Center
Jul. 20 – Holmdel, NJ @ PNC Center
Hell-Born Head West
HELL-BORN band will arrive for the first time to the Western hemisphere at the end of April. On April 28, HELL-BORN will perform the first concert in "Connections" Club in New Jersey and afterwards will remain overseas till mid - May. Their tour can be extended by 3 concerts in Canada but they are still seeking venues and trying to finalize these dates.

Mess Age Finish Up Recording Sessions
Polish death/thrashers Mess Age are about to finish recording sessions for the new album called Self Convicted. It was recorded at Red Studio in Gdansk, home studio of Vader and Yattering. Nergal from Behemoth was a special guest on the album. The CD will be released by Conquer Records in May 2002.
7 Angels 7 Plagues Tour Schedule
Wisconsin metalcore outfit 7 Angels 7 Plagues are currently mapping out another tour which will find them on the road through most of June in the South, Midwest, and Northeast. The majority of the dates will be supported by A Death For Every Sin. More...
Satyricon Change Album Name
Norwegian black metallers Satyricon have changed the title of their much-anticipated new studio effort from Vulcano to Volcano "to avoid confusion," according to the group's official web site. Volcano is tentatively scheduled for a September 2nd release through Capitol Records in Scandinavia and Nuclear Blast Records in other parts of the world.
Darkane's Expanding Sense
Sweden's Darkane are currently working on the follow-up to last year's Insanity effort titled Expanding Senses.
"All rhythm guitars have been recorded," stated guitarist Christofer Malmström. "Klas and I will record the guitar solos while Andreas prepares himself to put down the vocals."
...And Oceans Cyphers
Finnish bizzaro metallers ...And Oceans, featuring members of Black Dawn and Rotten Sound, have set Cypher as the title of their forthcoming full-length album.
Originally titled Insect Angels & Devil Worms, the band felt the shorter title in Cypher best suited their musical and lyrical message. The reason for the change? Only ...And Oceans can explain. "Its different meanings. 1.) a secret code; 2.) a person and thing which has no importance (that fits well with the decadentian lyrics); 3.) in Latin it means 'empty', which is nice, because the word empty is repeated in the lyrics." Godflesh Call it Quits
Seminal industrial music artists Godflesh has officially called it quits following the group's sudden cancellation of their North American tour with California's High On Fire and Australia's Halo.
"Justin suffered a nervous breakdown prior to boarding his flight to the US. Unable to make the trip, nevermind perform a two month long tour, Justin has decided to call it quits," a statement on the Godflesh website reports. "Godflesh is done for." More...
