Steffen Kemmurer Talks New Obscura & Thulcandra
Recently, we discussed talented musicians who have masterminded more than one excellent band, that being in the form of Maudlin Of The Well and Kayo Dot frontman Toby Driver. Today will see something of a similar tone, as Metal Underground caught up with Steffen Kummerer of technical death metal wizards Obscura and black metal force Thulcandra.
Only last week, Thulcandra unleashed their latest offering of grimness, "A Dying Wish," their fourth official full length album and one which has earned high praise already. Sixteen days from now, Kummerer will see even more of his time taken up when his main project, Obscura, released their sixth album, "A Valediction." To find out more about both of these records, as well as lineup changes, influences, the importance of music videos and much more, Metal Underground spoke with this amazing talent. Dark Funeral To Release New Album In March
Today Swedish black metal legends Dark Funeral announce that their brand new full-length album entitled "We Are The Apocalypse" will be released on March 18th 2022. Only one day later – on March 19th – they will play a very special album release show at Fållan in Stockholm, Sweden, supported by special guest Samael and support act Eleine.
About the release show Dark Funeral comment:
"Inch by inch we are opening the gates to unleash the fires of Hell and we are proud to present to you, the great artists that will join us on March 19! Samael from Switzerland should need no further introduction, they are genuine legends and a band that never stopped evolving. We are incredibly proud to have them with us as special guests! The Swedish symphonic metal band Eleine will be opening the night and contribute in showing that the Devil’s Music have both width and depth."
Further the band states, "We are looking forward to an incredibly powerful experience on the 19th of March and we encourage you all to secure your tickets to join us. Our new album is finally ready and we can’t wait to include our new music in our set lists. This event will open those gates and we want you to be there with us! Aethereus Premiere New Song & Music Video
Aethereus premiere a new song and music video named “Behold, The World Eater”, taken from their upcoming new album "Leiden".
The band's new record is due out January 7 and will feature guest-solos from Mike Low (Inferi), Malcolm Pugh (Inferi), and Sanjay Kumar (Wormhole, Equipoise), as well as guest vocals from Mike Alvarez (Flub) and Kyle Rasmussen (Vitriol).

Cutterred Flesh Premiere New Music Video
Czech death metal band Cutterred Flesh premiere a new song and music video called “Good Boy”, taken from their upcoming new album "Sharing Is Caring", will be released by Transcending Obscurity Records on December 3rd. The track itself includes a guest appearance by Von Young from brutal death metal band Lividity.

Behemoth celebrated the 30th anniversary of the band's existence this past weekend by streaming their ‘XXX Years Ov Blasphemy‘ online live show, featuring three separate sets performed in three different locations.
