Reunited Bloodlust Plan Festival Appearances
BLOODLUST, one of the original California-based speed/classic/power/thrash metal bands, will begin a series of reunion shows throughout the 2005/2006 festival season in the U.S. and Europe. In addition, the band will be remastering and reissuing all of their releases on one CD, with new recordings of old songs and even a couple of surprises thrown in. The re-recorded songs will be "Too Scared To Run" and "Guilty As Sin". Additional material will consist of the album "Guilty As Sin" (Metal Blade), the "Terminal Velocity" EP, and even something from the group's "Anti Life" demo tape. The package will include rare photos, and liner notes from the members, past and present.
BLOODLUST's current lineup is:
Earl Mendenhall - Guitar
Sandy K. - Bass
Mark E Cuestas - Drums
John Lisi - Guitar
Steve Gaines - Vocals
Asked why the band chose to reunite at this time, Gaines (also in ABATTOIR, DREAMS OF DAMNATION, PAGAN WAR MACHINE, ANGER AS ART) cited the fact that fans on tour were asking him to sign their BLOODLUST LPs, t-shirts, and even bootleg CDs (of which there were many).
Commented Steve Gaines, "The seed was firmly planted in Cleveland, Ohio at the BW&BK Six Pack Weekend 2004. Brad Youngblood, the founder and promoter of the Metal Music Foundation and Classic Metal Festival was witnessing this outpouring of love for BLOODLUST, and he took me aside. He said, 'If you can put it back together, I'll have you headline Classic Metal Festival 5 in Chicago.' Upon returning home, I contacted the guys, and we set up a rehearsal to see if we still had it — and it sounded amazing — like we had a week off.
"The cool thing is that there is demand for it — it isn't a bunch of old geezers trying to relive their teens. We have all stayed in contact with each other over the years, and it was very easy to get back together and play. We don't know how long it will last — ideally as long as there is demand. And offers have rolled in through 2006, so… who knows?"
BLOODLUST's appearance at the Classic Metal Festival in Chicago is scheduled for Saturday, May 14. The band are also expected to appear at the 2006 edition of Germany's Headbanger's Open Air festival.

Nashville Pussy Signs With Spitfire Records
Nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 1999 for "Fried Chicken And Coffee" from their debut release "Let Them Eat Pussy," Spitfire Records proudly announces it has signed Nashville Pussy to an exclusive recording deal for North America.
Taking their name from the intro to the Double Live Gonzo version of Ted Nugent's "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang," the band's current line-up features: Kentucky born singer/guitarist Blaine Cartwright (formerly of 9 Pound Hammer) - lead guitarist and Vancouver BC transplant, Ruyter Suys (pronounced Rider Sighs) - drummer, Austin, Texas transplant Jeremy Thompson (a.k.a. "Remo") and new addition Karen Cuda on bass and supporting vocals hailing from Denver Colorado.
Since founding the band in 1996 - the husband and wife guitar team of Cartwright and Suys pursued their vision until it became reality.
"We were sick of seeing bands that sucked, so we decided to make the kind of band that we wanted to see," says Suys.
Straight off the blocks - Nashville Pussy was positively infamous for their ferocious, take-no-prisoners live shows - and immediately the most talked about band in the country. Nashville Pussy was soon the object of a heated bidding war between the majors and band's debut "Let Them Eat Pussy" earned them a Grammy nomination and slot on the Marilyn Manson tour.
Blaine Cartwright says about the new CD "It's like the return of Nashville Pussy. We put some of the sleaze and glam back in, only better. It's a good-time rock & roll record. We've always been in that situation where we had to keep everything going, touring, rehearsals, and writing. This time we've taken the time and reloaded. I want to get back to kicking ass in America , 'cause America needs it's ass kicked."
Tierra Santa Announce Album Release Date

On the road in support of their second DVD, "Las Mil y Una Noches", Tierra Santa continued to establish themselves as one of the foremost groups in the international metal scene. Influenced by the heavy metal superstars of the 80's and 90's, the band combine majestic hymns with crushing choruses. Angel (guitar and vocals), Arturo (guitar), Roberto (bass) and Inaki (drums) once again use mythology and legend to accompany their high-speed metal offerings on "Apocalipsis".

Trivium Jams For Fans
Trivium have checked in with the following message:
This past weekend - Saturday night to be exact (1.22.2005) we asked a few friends to come hang out, eat some chow, have a few drinks, listen to some music and shoot the shit. We did this because the last show we had at home was during the Road Rage tour in August and while we aren't 100% sure when we will play at home again. So, we decided it might be fun to invite some local street/e-team friends and supporters to come to a practice we held at Classic Cases (www.classiccases.net) in Sanford. It was pretty low key and went off without a hitch - we had a great time - played for about an hour and played almost every song off "Ascendancy." We recorded some of the show, and might make it available soon.
Click here for a photo gallery from that practice.
Trivium's "Ascendancy" will be released on 3/15/05!
Devildriver Answers Fan Questions
Devildriver have started a new feature on their message forum where they answer the fans' questions. Here are some excerpts:
Question: Hey Devildriver!! How is everyone going? I hope you guys enjoyed Ozzfest 2004. I knew I did.
Anyhow.. I have some questions to ask.
-First, you say you hope on starting to tour in February. Where will you start first? Europe or USA? I would be a VERY HAPPY Fan to see your show on my birthday, it'd be awesome [To Be Near Vancouver,BC!].
-Second, I was wondering what direction or "sound" you guys are aiming for? Like are you going to completely change, or "change" but still contain some Devildriver sound as well?
-Third question (about upcoming tour) Do you know if you will come to Vancouver BC, or will you stay in the USA?
Thank You very much for looking at all our Devildriver questions and we hope to see you LIVE again soon. We Love You Driver!

Answer: we will tour everywhere and yes we enjoyed ozzfest and we will be coming to Vancouver real soon.
Question: Hey Guys....
I'm a true fan from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Everybody's talking about shows in Europe and USA...but have you guys considered Latin America? (MEXICO).
Guadalajara's fans are hungry for metal. We have recently seen some bands here like: Ill Niño, Therion, Morbid Angel, Asesino, Behemoth and other cool bands. But famous bands almost always go only to the capital (Mexico DF). Guadalajara is the second most important city in the country...I'd f**king kill myself you guys come. Please consider coming to GUADALAJARA, MEXICO it would be so cool for you fans over here, I'm going to tell all my friends that love Devildriver .
Answer: Yes we are trying to get to Latin America this year keep checking back.
