Tim "Ripper" Owens Posts Update To His New Site
Former JUDAS PRIEST and current ICED EARTH vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens has launched his own website at www.TimRipperOwens.com. On it, Owens has posted the following message:
"What's up everybody? As you can see, we are trying to get this thing up and running, and hopefully it will be complete real soon! As for Iced Earth, Jon's back is getting better, but it still isn't 100%! I myself can't wait to get Iced Earth back on the road, I think touring and seeing the fans is one of the most important things a band can do, we did tour America but had to postpone Europe (Europe, I love you and hope to see you real soon!) We will get it rolling as soon as we can!! As for my side project, finishing up some demo stuff... also thought maybe the fans can come up with a good idea to name it!! One already said maybe call it RIP, which is cool, what do you guys have?? I will talk at you soon!!"

Testament Re-Release "Seen Between the Lines"
Testament, who are renowned for their intense live performances and amazing musicianship , have announced that they will re-release the legendary "Seen Between the Lines" band documentary on DVD this spring. A fan–favorite for over a decade, "Seen Between the Lines" was originally released on VHS in 1991 and has been re-recorded in DVD format to enhance picture clarity and sound quality for today’s Testament followers.
"Seen Between The Lines" contains a live set recorded during the band’s 1991 world tour, 4 promotional music videos, rare video interview clips, and exclusive behind the scenes and candid footage of the early years of this metal juggernaut.
Featuring the ‘classic’ lineup of Chuck Billy (vocals), Eric Peterson (guitar), Alex Skolnick (guitar), Greg Christian (bass), and Louie Clemente (drums), this footage takes fans back to the day when Testament were in their prime: a hungry young metal band out to conquer the world. "Seen Between The Lines" is a visual documentation of how the band wowed fans with their technical prowess, coupled with their unbridled aggression, both in the studio, and on the stage. More...

Norway's Susperia are have nearly completed their second video for the album track "Devil May Care" from their third full-length album, "Unlimited". Released in the U.S. during early summer 2004, the record continues to show growth; "Unlimited" is close to surpassing the SoundScan figures of their previous album, "Vindication", released by Nuclear Blast in 2002.
"Devil May Care" will feature highlights from Susperia's recent and most successful tour of Europe, including footage from their impressive performance at 2004's Inferno Festival. Corey Taylor Psyched About Performing In Australia
Slipknot are set to play the Big Day Out festival at the Gold Coast Parklands later this month and frontman Corey Taylor spoke with Time Off magazine about touring in Australia. "It is probably my favorite tour that I've been on, besides Ozzfest 2004," he said of the band's previous visit to the country. "I'd waited my whole life to go to Australia and when I got down there it was just everything I'd hoped it would be and more." Taylor remembered Australia's most appealing attributes with ease. "It was the kids and the weather," he said. "We'd done Europe and while it wasn't a letdown, as far as the kids go, it was just really grey. I remember walking out of the Australian airport ? I think we flew into Sydney ? and looking up at this huge sky and thinking, 'God, this is going to rock!'. It was just great. I remember hanging out with a lot of the kids that came to the shows, probably getting them in a lot of trouble! I just have a lot of really great memories from that time and I can't wait to get down there again."

Pentagram Singer ODs, Shows Cancelled
US doom metalers Pentagram have cancelled their UK gigs, due to happen in March. Apparently mainman Bobby Liebling shot up [on heroin] before the Washington, DC show and had to be revived from an overdose just to get him to the stage. The paramedics had taken him to the hospital, and nobody seemed to know how he was doing. Fortunately, he has survived, but the future of the band now hangs in the balance. One of the dates in Britain was supposed to be at The Peel in KIngston on March 26. The date, an all-day event, will now be headlined by Orange Goblin. Also on the bill are Pig Iron, End Of Level Boss, Centurions Ghost, The River and Sada.

Slipknot Report From Vancouver, BC
In support of their new album "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses," Slipknot did a trans-Canada tour, touching down some of the bigger Canadian cities. I attended the last date (January 16) of the tour at the PNE Forum in Vancouver, BC. I arrived an hour before the doors opened and there was already a long line up of dedicated Slipknot fans, a few of them with masks, waiting in the cold and rain. No offense to anyone under 19, but all-ages shows are annoying because they generally attract teenyboppers and angry kids out to prove how cool they think they are even though they came with their parents. But I was glad to see the crowd wasn't as bad as some other concerts I've been to. However, there was this little boy of about 2-3 years of age, who wore a mask and an oversized Slipknot shirt that went down to his knees. I guess Slipknot appeals to audiences of all ages. More...
