Wolfheart Announces New Album

Finnish metal outfit Wolfheart has announced the details of their forthcoming new studio album, "Constellation Of The Black Light." A statement on the band's official Facebook page reads thusly:

"Determination and perseverance were the key points in the making this album, while conquering obstacle after obstacle during the process of recordings while coldness and beauty of winter were the themes where the music was born. This is definitely a triumph in our career and one of the biggest battles won in my personal career. I could not be more satisfied with the result and with new label and management behind us we are headstrong to stay in the bath of victories"

Tyr Guitarist Leaves The Band

Terji Skibenæs, guitarist of Faroese folk metal veterans Tyr, has announced that he has decided to leave the band. A post on social media reads as follows:

"This is it. I am now officially leaving the band TÝR after 17 years. After months of thinking this through carefully, I’ve finally come to the decision that it’s time for me to quit.

"The reason is very simple: I have no desire whatsoever to play in TÝR anymore.
There’s no drama or anything going on between me and the others. It’s just me not having any joy to play the music in the style of TÝR anymore.
I want to thank Heri Joensen and Gunnar Thomsen for the all the time we had and I wish TÝR all the best in the future.

"And thanks to all the fans for the support through the years. My last show with Týr will be at Sabaton open air in August.

"More news to follow soon about my future projects.

-Terji."

"It's a verse from the Bible," Nergal reveals. "It's actually a quote from Jesus Christ himself. For Behemoth to use it as the basis of our record, it's sacrilege to the extreme." More...
